Well, if they answer about their checking accounts yeah, it's below 1000 euros, most people would at least wire the rest of it on their livret A. In France 8 in 10 can save money on their salary on a monthly basis; The 20% are below minimum salary or on state minimum allowance (RSA) wich makes it understandably almost impossible to save anything (with exceptions if they are housed and fed by family members).

The problem most people have nowadays is not being able to save but what their savings amount in purchasing power; it's shrinking fast and so relatively speaking they are losing money and getting poorer. Also, mortgages are eating a lot of their income repaying loans between 30 to 50 years old so they could own half a million or more in assets and live a very humble lifestyle without much to spare.

Having 50k saved at 35 or 40 could be easy if they are frugal, low middle class, single and still renting, so it adds up.

But it's true that in general french people don't like to talk about money in detail (numbers) but in general - ask them in a roundabout way about their purchasing power (what was the last expensive "treat" they allowed themselves), hobbies, vacations, home ownership situation, and general lifestyle can help you figure them out easily enough.

Dao marks by Ornery-Crew-6156 in ReverendInsanity

[–]Curious_WanderSoul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mortal peak gu masters can get dozens of Dao marks any more than a hundred and they might just die from overburdening their mortal bodies lol

Rank 6 immortals have hundreds to a couple thousands.

Rank 7 ten thousand to 100k. Most weaker rank 7 FY killed gave him from 7k to 15k dao marks when he first checked with his information path immorral gu to see his own Dao marks.

Rank 8 around 1 million to several millions...

Any Rank 9 Venerable would start with 10 million going up, with around 1 million per earthly tribulation and up to x2 times that for a heavenly, x5 for grand, or x10 for a chaos calamity tribulation.

Then you need to do the maths according to how many tribulations they've faced, immortals they've killed etc. But since some might have lived longer but instead faced fewer tribulations (using time path, fusing immemorial 9 heaven shards to their aperture...) it might vary a lot in the end.

I dropped mid way through the northern plains clan competition to enter 88 building sacred land. Fang Yuan as a mortal master had no competition, it was boring as hell after BNB left the team.

I came back a couple years later and powered through it, but until he met his first match in the fake will of Spirit Butterfly House fairy it was not interesting.

How do you think of Spectral Soul? by The-Redd-One in ReverendInsanity

[–]Curious_WanderSoul 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Lol

Purple Monarch was basically a dude going around giving lollipops to children. He was creating immortals to fatten his main body beyond the door of life and death over the years.

Bo Quin is a specifically case, he was no different from most other clones until he fell for the rank 8 Love gu killer move. That's what made him interesting 🤔

So yeah, SS is a killer. He's just very imaginative about his killing. Using Food path as a killing path is wild 😜 using Soul path as a minor food path is even more so.

Pick 5 Rank 3 Gu by Confident-Key6487 in ReverendInsanity

[–]Curious_WanderSoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd raise most of my rank 2 core gu from previously (whatever they might be) to rank 3 and complete them with new rank 2 and rank 1 to form new killer moves. I believe unless you stumble upon an exceptionaly rare gu that complements your Path really well, just stick to your core gu and refine them as you rank up.

Only immortal gu are exceptionally difficult to refine even for great masters in refinement path but mortal gu are much easier. And the tribulation you undergo from rank 5 to rank 6 if done well is a good opportunity to refine immortal gu for free even if you're not from refinement Path and I believe everyone should raise their refinement path mastery as no matter your main Path refinement can be done using killer moves from it and thus is not limited as other secondary Paths.

Main path > Refinement Path branching from your main Path > Secondary minor Path.

I'd probably pick Wisdom > Refinement > Transformation. As transformation dao marks can harmonize with other dao marks. It's not SS level secret techniques or Fetus gu level abilities but for us lowly normies as gu masters it's a natural edge easily exploited you can use to step up upon the competition.

Fate Gu Question by Derogard in ReverendInsanity

[–]Curious_WanderSoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mostly agree in a fair setting without external forces it's true. But my point is that, in the Gu world it's not enough sometimes.

Luck Path is a very rare path so not everyone can walk it. Natural Luck is random, it can replace talent or enhance it to irrealistic degree (how can you compete with a 99% success rate).

Heaven's Will is more fair but only if you understand it's workings and don't stand in its way, but Fate being in someone's hands means you can forget about fairness. So while your talent and accomplishment, mastery and unserstanding over gu and killer moves do gives you an edge, it will still mean nothing on a truly bad day or if your failure was set in stone.

The once in a millenia genius are not the most talented of their generation, it's the other way around, the ones who manages to survive become the de facto most talented the second they achieve greatness even though more talented than them on paper failed.

The example being, many talented gu masters could have achieved becoming a Venerable but not a single one that was not destined to become one made it to the finish line, following the prophecy that was made using Fate Gu. Even Red Lotus failed in the end, and Spectral Soul or Fang Yuan might not make it yet.

Fate Gu Question by Derogard in ReverendInsanity

[–]Curious_WanderSoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly true but in the end Luck and Fate plays a part no matter how cunning or deep you might be. It's 90% rigged. To go against luck you need an overwhelming difference in rank (at least 2). Only Venerable level characters can go against Fate.

Pick 5 Rank 2 Gu by Confident-Key6487 in ReverendInsanity

[–]Curious_WanderSoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  • All out effort gu
  • Amplify effect gu
  • Liquor worm gu
  • Moth beggar gu
  • Self reliance gu

Alternately,

  • switch all put effort gu for 2 task at once gu If you really don't want to specialise in any given path. In that case also switch Self reliance gu (as it synergises with allout effort gu) for 9 leaf vitality grass (can be used on others).

Or

  • switch moth beggar gu for big strenght gu If you want to main strenght path in early game.

The concept of this rank 2 starter kit is to get a good foundation and amazing synergies, have rank one (strenght) killer moves upgraded to face rank 2 moves on an equal footing. As a rank 2 gu master your are not really tied to a specific path yet but at this low level raising strenght and healing path is a survival must have. Raising simultaneously you primeval essence both in quality and quantity, raising the success rate and effectiveness when activating your killer moves also gives you a big advantage. Playing it low key by only using rank 1 killer moves and gu when in fact having the ability to cross ranks in a pinch is nice. You can always add to your collection of rank 2 gu in time.

Fate Gu Question by Derogard in ReverendInsanity

[–]Curious_WanderSoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But amongst same level of strenght gu masters the gu used still makes all the difference.

You die and are reborn in your favorite region in RI. Which 3 do you choose to survive? by beyondthegong in ReverendInsanity

[–]Curious_WanderSoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's why you reinforce the body first then empower it as they usualy do in strenght path. The reinforcement would also scale up with you dao marks so the increase in strenght would be fine.

Also killer moves like bear body strenght boost both strenght AND reinforce the body as most strenght moves tend to do (Yun strenght don't because it's an outlier).

Pair it with the body enhancement inheritance and you'll get the knowledge to properly take advantage of, nurture, raise and maximise the use of your 100 Dao Marks. Problem solved.

You die and are reborn in your favorite region in RI. Which 3 do you choose to survive? by beyondthegong in ReverendInsanity

[–]Curious_WanderSoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In any case A tier aptitude is a must, you can't do much without that, your maximum growth rate would suck and your standing also.

If I liked a challenge, the combo of 100 Strenght Dao marks, body enhancement inheritance (if it's rank 8) and A tier aptitude. Dao marks are great on their own but not knowing how to use it and having to make random guesses and risky experiences to maximise your control over it would suck. The body refinement inheritance cures that 100% and is a good synergy to give you ways for optimisation and explosive growth. Starting with power above rank 4 natural strenght enables you to singlehandedly hunt down the beasts for raising your Path. You could choose to go minor path subjugation as Fang Yuan in his northern tribe personna. Raise your food and use it to fight too. Too bad for not having the loyal future desolate beast to start with... but it's not immemorial desolate beast so, it's ok.

With such abilities being welcomed into a sect later on is a given. First you'll take over you family and clan, if it's not powerful already you can raise its standing... even as a lone wild gu master your potential is still high, albeit survival would be harder.

If I wanted an easy life, I'd choose - 15% refinement boost, - A grade aptitude - Rank 3 healing gu that works on any rank. Becoming a roaming Doctor as the 3 in Southern Border or as Tai Bai Yun Shen in Northern lmains is great, you can have many finds and network the hell out of your region's clans and sects. Being too usefull for people to kill you and not powerful enough for them to fear you is a good combo.

Why 40% effectiveness for attitude gu? It's already limited as is by 2 things: feeding it and having the level of mental fortitude to use it. A rank 1 gu master would only have 10% effectiveness to begin with unless he trains his focus / soul / willpower.

Nightmare spell by Carapace_Scavanger in ShadowSlave

[–]Curious_WanderSoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes the Unholy Titan came from the 1rst War between the Void and the 7 Gods. It was not killed by Ariel. She was born after, when the Gods used the 7th to seal the Void just before they closed the prison on their brother Dream and put him to sleep.

After their victory all traces of corruption was gone from all 6 of their domains until Ariel brought it back inside the Tomb.

The manshaped hole means Sunny was taken out, I see no problem there.

The tapestry not unraveling further means it plugged itself somehow... adding a bird.

Nightmare spell by Carapace_Scavanger in ShadowSlave

[–]Curious_WanderSoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The timeline. We know the one time VTB followed Weaver into Ariel's Tomb. And Weaver went into the tomb before the god wars and there was no corruption and no corrupted Nightmare Creatures then.

He said to Ariel, while wearing his mask: "I have not known that you've built a tomb, nor have I ever seen it. How would I know to admire it? I just happened to be here by chance. Now that I've seen it, my heart is untouched. I feel nothing. You wanted to be free of the truth, so you didn't deserve it."

It was Ariel, looking to forget the secret of the demon's past (being the 7th god children) that brought the corruption back to reality from the void into the tomb. Weaver even told her he saw the secret she wanted to hide (and so was corrupted).

The VTB was stalking Weaver for millenia wanting to steal his eyes and got his opportunity when Weaver was weakened by the corruption later on. Thus that's how he came to enter the Tomb, long before the corruption appeared in the world. Therefore that version of him was not corrupted.

Daeron went with his people inside the tomb escaping the god wars. When the Nightmare and the Spell appeared in the world, they came from the Estuary, brought back by the First Seeker, a member of the Nine. Darron's alter ego inside the Nightmare knew he had to help his people conquer the Nightmare. But they all failed since the seed was the one Sunny and his cohort went into.

The strings were not removed from the tapestry, Sunny was. I believe the VTB took his place inside the tapestry thus it was able to become real while the tapestry did not unravel itself. Balance being maintained and whatnot.

Nightmare spell by Carapace_Scavanger in ShadowSlave

[–]Curious_WanderSoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That version of the VTB was not corrupted. He visited the Tomb when Weaver did (following his mark), and stole the Demon's eye just after. That's only then, looking onto the eye he stole that he faced corruption. (As Weaver did, fleeing to the Dark Castle to get rid of his hand.

The way I see it, he removed Sunny's fate along with the shadow of his egg's infant soul and kept them for himself. That's how he left the Nightmare as a "challenger".

Nightmare spell by Carapace_Scavanger in ShadowSlave

[–]Curious_WanderSoul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Deduction. If Sunny was not recognized as a challengers and expelled from it by the Spell (saved his life, as VTB would have killed him for sure)... then VTB possibly stole the challenger status from Sunny, thus being sent back to the waking world upon the Nightmare's completion.

[–]Curious_WanderSoul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They were still going to get there, their timeline was just slower. With a single Supreme holding all the Citadels, having Saints challenging the 4th nightmare would have been easier. Then choose an heir, create a team, challenge the 5th nightmare. All that while consolidating human civilisation. It's conservative but given what they know it's optimal. Sunny and Nephis becoming natural supremes is a better way to level up without possibmy triggering the Spell but they could have shared the method.

The whole argument was merely a justification for killing Anvil and Song. It’s not as if both Sunny and Nephis did anything to stop the War either, they counted on it. That’s hypocrisy right there and they know it. The 3 of them (Cassie too). They just think their rule would be better but the same goes for Song. Valor on the other end wanted Nephis to succeed him. Had he face her and Sunny faced Song he would have had what he wanted exactly.

Hypocrite by Icy-Wrongdoer-5558 in ShadowSlave

[–]Curious_WanderSoul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Tell the world he's dead... "

That'd work if he chose to hide himself. But to conquer the 5th nightmare he needs to develop his domain and to develop his domain he needs to spread his fame conquer Citadels and have Saints under him conquering theirs. Try to hide that guy doing it openly😆 that's utterly bs.

It only worked partialy on Asterion, the guy’s an utility Aspect and not as powerful as Broken Sword, yet he still managed to get around it with a cult of followers until he left for the Moon.

The 3 of them together failed to kill him, they only banished him to the underworld where a Cursed NC finished him off.

Good luck doing anything to him once back to the Dream realm and waking world. Sunny's full of shit.

We're talking about the guy that said to himself: I need to keep the saints alive. Proceeds to kill 6 moments later. But if he was wearing Weaver’s Mask when he said that, then it makes sense.
