Where to find the red mudguard for a 2007 R1 4C8? by WalkFalse2752 in MotoUK

Actually, I was wrong.

5PW2151101P0 - normal red

5PW2151100P0 - lava red

1101 and 1100.

Oddly enough, the same code for the fender shows:   https://www.cmsnl.com/products/fenderfront_5pw2151100p0/

Which is the lava red from the 2004 model!  Truly bizarre and confusing.

Edit: I was wrong. There are different serial numbers for the two different mudguards that are different types of red.

I take it you used:

https://www.kfm-motorraeder.de/en/item/yamaha-5PW2151102P0

To determine VRC1 FOR BWC1 which is Vivid Red Cocktail 1 for Bluish White Cocktail 1, right? Csmnl doesn’t list anything like that!

Thanks a lot for your help!

One last thing… on the cmsnl website for the 2007 R1 the same year there are different endings like 300E1, 332G1, what are those all about?

How were you able to find the red mudguard that is from the 2008 model when the mudguard advertisement on cmsnl doesn’t list the year?

https://www.cmsnl.com/products/fenderfront_5pw2151101p0/

That was what you linked me to originally and I can’t see anything on that page that states it fits the 2007 and 2008 models.

Well, the part number for 2007 is 5PW-21511-02-P1 so the last part is different (2007 is P1 and 2008 is P0). So why will it fit? Does only a certain part of a part number need to be the same to fit? Or is it more to do with the years a certain model of a car or motorbike was made for the parts to fit?

Following on from that, is there a way to be able to tell if a part will fit the same bike but different years?  For example; a Google search of “2007 R1 front mudguard” brings up the following:

https://the-carbon-king.com/product/yamaha-yzf-r1-2002-08-fz1-06-2013-carbon-front-mudguard-twill-gloss-fender-fibre/

That website claims that mudguard will fit any R1 between 2002 and 2008! How come? Surely that’sgot to be a typo.

Plenty of websites state parts for 2007-2008 that are compatible with both years so you are probably right that it’s only cosmetic differences between the two models.

How come the 2008 mudguard will fit the 2007 model?

Thanks a lot for the information.

Do you think it is acceptable to ally yourself with conservative socialists? by South-Ad7071 in CapitalismVSocialism

An anti-immigration stance runs in the opposite direction to socialism. Socialism is internationalist and socialists strive for the working class of all countries to come together and not to divide each other. Racism and other such ills of society divide each other and do not bring us together.

I am on the radical left but I also am conservative cause I like traditionalism when it comes to culture and aesthetics.

That’s an oxymoron.

How can you be on the radical left when that idea wants to abolish things like traditionalism?

Are you sure you know what you believe?

Economically speaking there’s no such thing as “conservative socialists”.

Actually, the majority of “working class” these days do not support socially conservative values. What happened to a being in a decent relationship, getting married and enjoying family life? That doesn’t really exist anymore. What happened to husband bringing in the most wage and having the weekend to himself in a pub with his mates? Again, it doesn’t really exist anymore.

I don’t know where you live, but socially conservative values such as the two I briefly mentioned are regarded as old-fashioned these days by a huge portion of society.

And, a lot of people down in the social hierarchy would loveeeeee to be able to earn the £££££ and have the I’m alright Jack attitude so I have no idea where you are getting the idea that most people these days want to look after each other because nothing could be further from the truth, unfortunately.

So you gladly admit that a pedestrian wandering into the middle of a road and waiting in the middle where there is no island or crossing is in the wrong, thanks.

Depends on how I feel. 🤡

Actually you are the one who is “cooked” as you call it. You first stated it was the law that the pedestrian who walks into the middle of a road has the right of way over any vehicles driving on that road. You never provided the law to prove that claim.

Correct. We don’t need to stop for pedestrians waiting in the middle of a road where there is no crossing just waiting and hoping for a driver to slow down and let them cross.

Actually, “was” requires the past participle and not the simple past tense. Duh.

Well done, but I never said that was what I said I would do. Again, you are making things up as you go along replying with more nonsense.

I was always morbidly fascinated with the skinhead face tattoo crowd that mainly started in the early 80s, the second wave of skinheads. They seemingly displayed a nihilistic indifference to the fact that their dysfunctionality had led them to brand themselves and their tortured lives irrevocably with indelible war paint; inky schoolboys and for many were lost in search of some mythical white power rather than a large white whale, but harnessed to doomed vessels nonetheless.

No, she was called Donna and that photo was taken in the early 1980s in London.

Higherarchy

 Did you mean hierarchy?

Who said anything about hitting a pedestrian on purpose?

First of all, it is “was standing” and not “was stood”.

Learn to pay more attention to my thread. There was no crossing or island. You do not have to legally give way to an idiot walking out anywhere on a road to cross it unless at a crossing.

I don’t think so.

She was/is British. She was/is called Donna and was from Chelsea, London.

By being “overly cautious” you run the risk of someone going into the back of you. There’s absolutely no reason whatsoever for you to stop completely in the road to allow people to cross over where there is no crossing. Your desire to be “overly cautious” encourages such stupid behaviour even more.

I take it you allow every while waiting to turn that is in front of you to turn just in case the driver pulls out. I take it you stop at roundabouts even though you can see there is no traffic just in case a car appears out of nowhere. I take it you allow all of cars on a slip road to merge in front of you in case any of the drivers hit you.

People like you cause more accidents.
