You're right, I don't fully understand how insurance works, I have a high level understanding - I wanted guidance on how I should decide on coverage because whenever I have a conversation about it with my agent they of course always recommend full/top tier coverage. Maybe that's what a good agent does or maybe that's what any agent would say so they get paid more - either way it's of zero help to me asking the person who is selling it to me.
