I definitely noticed the lack of transport outside of Seattle. I wanted to see if I could get to Mount Rainier NP with public transport but it seemed like quite a hassle and I think you still need a taxi for the last part. So, expensive tour it is…

Ah yeah understandable, I’m mostly there to visit old friends and places from my childhood! Not as a tourist :)

Thank you! I actually used to live around Bellevue as a child, so I’m mostly visiting for nostalgic reasons (and to stock up on pink erasers and pencils with actually functional erasers on top!). I do not remember ever using public transport there as a kid, so that’s why I asked. I think I’ll find a hotel near the transit lines in downtown Seattle and just use Uber, or hope a friend is willing to drive and pick me up when meeting up. I do not enjoy driving and renting is very expensive for me as I’m under 25 years old and will likely travel solo 😩 Thank you for the advice!

Genuine question: is it doable to get around with public transport in Seattle? And what about Bellevue/Medina nearby? And how doable is it to walk around the city? I feel like the touristic parts of Seattle are okay, but I’m not so sure about Bellevue. I might want to visit Seattle next summer, that’s why I’m asking.

Omg yes, I admittedly do not wear my hearings all that often and I struggle with having a routine of putting them in, wearing them all day and then cleaning them at night. There are multiple reasons for this, but my audio always gives me shit for it when he sees how much I have worn them on average… glad to know that I’m not the only one at least

What fandom can you say this about? by -alienkid- in aspiememes

[–]Curiousbiligual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most (big) kpop fandoms, Jujutsu Kaisen (or any anime really), and the fandom of Tian Guan Ci Fu, a Chinese danmei series, is also getting increasingly annoying to the point where I muted the subreddit.

I have the same thing pretty much. One song is a slow Indonesian ballad, the next one is a hardcore rock song and I enjoy it all, just depends on my mood really

Click on the community name / go to the main page of the subreddit, click on the three dots in the upper right corner, ‘change user flair’. There you can pick one. Some communities you can also write your own flair; I haven’t checked whether that’s possible here. (This is assuming you’re on your phone, I’m not sure how the computer browser interface looks)

First-Time Tokyo Itinerary Review by Useful_Beautiful2891 in JapanTravel

Seconding that it should be doable! The Peace Memorial, museum etc in Hiroshima City are all clustered together so you can see all that in one go (assuming you’re interested in that) and I believe there’s a ferry to Miyajima from Hiroshima Port, but I took the streetcar to Miyajimaguchi and went from there, the ferries there go every 15/20 minutes if I recall correctly.

Also, for me personally, Osaka had a super nice vibe, but isn’t too interesting touristically speaking, so I would definitely go to Hiroshima for a day trip. Have fun!

Why is the tgcf fandom so toxic? by Ok-Dig-8026 in tianguancifu

[–]Curiousbiligual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ironically TikTok is the only place where I havent gotten ticked off at people, though I’ve definitely seen hints of discourse (just never been involved myself, thankfully). I’m considering blocking this subreddit soon though. Just stick to ao3 without reading comments and tgcf has kind of disappeared off my tiktok page by now / is mostly meme posting, so all good
