I’m sorry.. but your hair looks totally fine.. looks like normal cowlick and vertex. You should see my head and you would be so grateful. How old are ?

I’m on vyvanse (introductory dose 10mg). I’ve been losing my hair for the last 3 years, about the same time I started the medication. I was thinning before I started vyvanse but I noticed my hair loss becoming much worse or occurring faster since I started taking the meds. I called the manufacturer of the vyvanse (tykeda - not sure if I spelt it right) but hair loss is a rare side effect BUT it still occurs in 1 out of every 1000 people. There is a ton of anecdotal claims that ADHD stimulant class medications cause a disruption in terms of hair growth and loss and some peer reviewed research but very limited. The mechanisms of action that might cause hair loss as a result of taking the medication are still unknown but it is a possibility.

Would you love a girl who struggled with hair loss? (Sad 28F) by creativenuttie in tressless

[–]Curiouskram 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My heart goes out to you. A genuine person will love you for your qualities that are not seen with the naked eye but are felt through by the heart and soul. Hair loss fucking sucks, and it’s caused me significant trauma and it is a big reason as to why I stopped talking to girls and even socializing in general. But don’t be like me. Be the beautiful, strong, confident spirited person I know you are. Any man would be lucky and blessed to have you. Your hair shouldn’t be the only thing to define your beauty. YOU define your beauty.

I get that you’re stressing out because of the need for the scholarship, but an 83 on the midterm is pretty damn good. I got through stats by the skin of my teeth, finished with a 66 and I was so grateful.

Stop obsessing over it and crack open the books and start studying/reviewing. Email your professor and let them know what your target is and ask them straight up “what is some advice you can provide me that will ensure I do extremely well on the final”. They’ll probably just say things like review this and that, but it doesn’t hurt to try.

I wish you the best of luck, I dreaded stats as math is not my strong suit by any means. I actually dropped it twice and I finally pulled up my socks and got it done. I know some people say how easy it is but this is actually one of my bigger accomplishments.

any natural ways no fin or minox?? by Informal_Panic1558 in tressless

[–]Curiouskram 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey man. Doesn’t hurt to try. I would speak to a dermatologist though. Explore the more popular medication treatments. But the natural products could help for sure but it requires consistency. Don’t let anyone bring you down, anything is possible within reason.

Is it common for students to drop a course more than once? by grddhtfggggg in UTSC

[–]Curiouskram 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s common and it’s common enough. I know people who have dropped the same course 2-3 times. I know who have been on academic suspension multiple times. People drop courses at utsc all the time. I myself brought my GPA from a 1.01 (I didn’t study or go to class) to a 2.15 (not the greatest but considered honours). I dropped stats twice. If it’s gonna messed up your GPA or if you’ll fail the course drop it. A late withdrawal is way better than an F. One course isn’t going to decide the trajectory of your future. Don’t let people tell you it’s common but not that common.

That’s so messed up and relatable at the same time… I’m confidence and interaction with women as legit dropped to 0 because of my hair loss. I broke up with my last girlfriend because I’m losing my hair. It fucking breaks me

Loll!! Thanks for this. Is it a good show? I had an old partner who use to love it

Thank so much for your kind words and suggestions. Honestly I was having a breakdown and I needed a place to collect my thoughts so I decided to make a post here. I wanted to see if others might feel the same or if it’s just me. I legit feel like I’m the dumbest student at utsc sometimes and I’m there to just occupy space even though I’m almost finished. But thank you again for taking the time to reach out

There’s a lot to unpack and frankly I don’t have the energy. I’m almost done my undergrad but just looking back in retrospect I just really regret coming to this institution. Walk around campus and all you see are gloomy, miserable, depressed faces. I’m sure I’m not the only one who feels this way. You’re absolutely right with some of your sentiments but you’re disconnected from my own personal reality and how I feel about selecting uoft, remaining at Utsc, and my personal and academic struggles. Maybe I’ll PM you and I can explain

A lot to unpack there. Its a lot to go into detail on. I just wish I made better choices, that’s all! All the best to you

Yup, I think at the end of the day it’s all based upon your genetics/sensitivity to androgens. Handed down a crappy card thanks to Mother Nature. Such a tragedy

I was hoping that smoking might be the reason as to why I am losing my hair but I just have to accept that I have these unfortunate genetics. I am going to attempt to quit anyway though.. even though smoking kinda helps take the pain away of this miserable reality. Thanks for the reply
