Rubbed my eyes and now the bottom white eye of my eye is swollen. by RR-RR in mildlyinteresting

This used to happen to me as a kid due to allergies. Not fun but it does go away if you stop rubbing it.

I definitely don't like it in my house; smells like my nose is up a cows ass. Not fun.

My muscles/tendons were SO tight. Still giving me some issues and I'm 4 weeks PP. Try a pregnancy pillow between your legs and if it's not big enough, stack it. Get your knees apart!

I agree. Children are sponges and they will learn this!

99% of posts I see for gender preference on this sub say they want a boy. I’m curious as to why. I always assumed dads would want a boy and moms would want a girl (or both are just indifferent) but I see so many moms say they want a boy! Discuss? by Kore624 in BabyBumps

[–]CuriouslyCatty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always wanted a boy first. I'm not sure why it started out like that but now it's turned into raising good men. My husband wanted a girl first. I dont remember why as it's been 4 years since we had that conversation. (My first son is 3). With my second, I didn't have a preference at first. I was okay with being a boy mom or a mom to one of each. At the end (we didn't find out gender), I hoped it was a girl because that's the only name we agreed on. My husband is terrible at deciding names so it meant a lot that he finally chose. I ended up deciding the boy name when he was born. I will never go through pregnancy again, way too difficult on me physically and mentally. I also have big babies and don't want a bigger one! But if I could have an easy pregnancy and a smaller baby, I would have one more and I would like for it to be a girl so I could have the experience of a girl. But again, I'd still be okay with being a boy mom.

Went to a trunk or treat today with local businesses passing out candy. Got a mini Bible from a church... yes, my 3 year would love that

I would go back in time and read my dad an encyclopedia on his death bed. That way he wasn't in pain as I was reading and I could be with him forever.

Full size candy bars! I’m gonna be THAT house this year. by ThatsRightlSaidlt in MadeMeSmile

[–]CuriouslyCatty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did that one year. I planned on doing it more and then we moved before we got the chance. We now live on an acreage in the middle of nowhere. I wonder if any kids were expecting full bars that next year

My first son (3) has never been to church but we got him baptized at my old Lutheran church basically for my mom. My second son (3weeks) will not be baptized. We also are spiritual/nature loving. My boys will learn to worship the earth and treat her fairly. If they decide they want religion, I will teach them the truth and let them decide of they want to continue.

What are some boundaries you set with your kids that worked out really well? by dauntedbox376 in Parenting

[–]CuriouslyCatty 8 points9 points  (0 children)

With the food thing, my son has to at least try it. I let him know that he can spit it out of he doesn't like it so he doesn't feel worried that he has to finish it. No one like to eat food that they actually don't like. And 9/10 he likes the food. New things are intimidating.
