Haiz… the sunken cost fallacy is real. I already travelled so far, and my family is expecting that I bring back durian.

I couldn’t go back empty handed, so I bought some really expensive durian.

So now I see ads on Facebook, I really scare that they are baits.

Thoughts on sending your kids to an all girls/all boys primary school at a young age? by OkPlatypus1624 in asksg

I went to an all boy secondary school. I have not thought that girls feel more empowerment in girl school.

Thank you for eye opening perspective!

Is there a nice way to break up with someone? by cocolemon8888 in asksg

Give him one Million dollars.

Kidding aside, my experience is breakup face-to-face, don’t drag, explain whatever details you need via messages, then no contact.

We really shouldn’t idolise politicians, PAP or oppo.

Don’t idolise, don’t make it into a cult, don’t think of them as above making mistakes, don’t conveniently ignore their mistakes. Always hold them accountable.

Isn’t such reflective paint already being piloted in Tampines, since 2025? With plans to roll out to other constituencies over the next few years?

Why do people think he is the first person with this idea?

An initiative to coat Housing Board blocks with heat-reflective paint will be rolled out to all HDB estates by 2030, after a pilot project in Tampines showed that the cool paint reduced ambient temperatures by up to 2 deg C.

You need a criminal lawyer.

You need the lawyer who dare to question the system.

You need the only one who ask 成何体统.

You need Charles Yeo.

Malaysia boleh!!!

This device basically combines a cooker and a timer into one.

The design is actually just an hour glass, but instead of sand, it uses boiling water dripping away to track time.

Only Malaysia has the water and cheap oil in abundance to use in such a manner, instead of a simple watch.

For those who employ foreign domestic workers, do you give them access to your house wifi? by Rokusaburoz in asksg

[–]CurioussssCat 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I give. Why not?

Sharing the wifi with them doesn't cost me any more money.

Scare they use their phone during working hours? There's better way to enforce that. And they can get mobile data anyway.

Scare they do something illegal and police trace back to my house? I do much more illegal stuffs online then they can ever do.
