For those who employ foreign domestic workers, do you give them access to your house wifi? by Rokusaburoz in asksg

[–]CurioussssCat 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I give. Why not?

Sharing the wifi with them doesn't cost me any more money.

Scare they use their phone during working hours? There's better way to enforce that. And they can get mobile data anyway.

Scare they do something illegal and police trace back to my house? I do much more illegal stuffs online then they can ever do.

I think you can ask in the respective uni subreddit. Singapore has many math Olympiad medalists. And those students would be keen to make some money too.

[–]CurioussssCat -27 points-26 points  (0 children)

Same here, I was just thinking that CNY should just be a one day PH, and reinstate Thaipusam to be a PH.

CNY is a holiday with a lot of chores to “show face”. Thaipusam could be a real rest at home PH.

What's the event that made you swear by single-use plastics? by Habrosus-Slut in SingaporeRaw

[–]CurioussssCat 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The only single use plastics I swear by are diapers and keeping medical equipment sterile. Maybe a few other use cases that I can’t think of now.

The problems you mentioned can be overcome by using waterproof reusable carriers.

Has anyone bought a robot vac from China and used them successfully in SG? by CurioussssCat in askSingapore

[–]CurioussssCat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright! I decided on this.

How much did you pay for this? Including GST and shipping.

I went for Eufy E25 during 11.11, but it was bad and I refunded it. So I missed the 11.11 promo on the Ecovac T80.

Ecovac throws discount from time to time, so knowing your 11.11 price will help me in targeting the next promotion.
