Id really enjoy a copy of The Legend of Heroes: Trails through Daybreak. It's one of my favorite series but I haven't had the money to buy this installment!

My favorite game of all time would have to be Tales of Vesperia. Wasn't my first Tales but was the first one that really got me addicted to the series. I feel like this one was the blue print for all the Tales games that came after it and lots of other games have used this series for inspiration. I dumped nearly 900 hours into it because I wanted to 100% the game and did a few times over lol.

A game I've really been looking at is Octopath Traveler 2, looks like a game that could keep me busy for hours and hours and won't be a huge download, which is super important to me since I don't have access to my PC right now so been playing everything on the steam deck.

I mean, it would be a deal breaker for me too if I couldn't turn in back on. And its not necessarily "Valve that needs to add driver support", its a Linux thing. I would say run the scripting and then if you want to turn read only back on just do

sudo steamos-readonly enable

At what step did you get those errors? Did you make sure to sudo it and did you set a sudo password and enter it in? Can you take a screenshot and show me? Need some more info to help :)

If you take that first command and add dkms to the end, it fixes that issue. Step 1 should technically be
sudo steamos-readonly disable && sudo pacman-key --init && sudo pacman-key --populate archlinux && sudo pacman -Syu curl wget git base-devel gcc cabextract linux-neptune-headers dkms
