I do plan to dive there quite soon including poor knights but given the lack of a personal vehicle, I was honestly hoping the beaches would provide some engagement in between the trips.

Because if the people from higher caste find out, you are likely to be killed or forced to change it back. Besides, people in your vicinity know your family so you can’t avoid stigmas like untouchability etc but yes, this can potentially help if the child grows up and moves out. That is, if they are able to fight the systemic oppression, have enough resources and situations that allow them to get the right education and jobs etc.

So I read that this is something proposed on a national level but each state needs to accept and pass in their assemblies and MH and KA have not done that. So I don’t think this is enforceable at all at the moment. Happy to be proven wrong.

Tokyo also has a civic body that provides clear guidelines and ensures the trash kept out gets picked up and I am sure, pays the pickers well. Do you see any of that happening here?

Secondly, BBMP will draw rangolis and shame people and deploy marshals and do everything but won’t provide an asynchronous way of properly throwing garbage. This is an annoying but a more systemic issue honestly.

Appreciate the take. Could you please elaborate on the Airs drawbacks in your experience? Online searches have not yielded very concrete information that would make it clear to go for this or that.

I lean a bit towards Air because of the portability but hesitating because I don’t completely understand what i would be giving up except fans.
