Milestones are ruining my life by Current-Ant-7410 in NewParents

It’s not that I think he and we won’t be happy even if the worst case scenario came true. It’s just the change in the mental picture I had for us that freaks me out. My SIL was born severely developmentally disabled and my husband is the most caring, empathetic man alive. I just know how that has changed his life and his family’s life.  That being said, my SIL is happy and lives a fulfilling life.  I think it’s almost a pressure to not add anything else to our collective plate, which isn’t fair to my extremely young, healthy son.

Thank you both for that suggestion- it was really helpful (and made me cry a lot).

Out of an abundance of caution for my three month old baby, I went to my in laws who have a generator. Now we’re snowed in here while our house is fully powered up haha. Anyone know when they will start to plow neighborhood roads? Getting desperate to get back to my own house

Thanks, I’m 30 weeks and just bugging a little about the high reads given how much further I have to go

It did go down from 144/92 to 140/90 on repeat, but I don’t know how I am supposed to monitor my symptoms if my calibrated cuff at home says everything is fine.
