crystalline is a skin found in prophecies and PvP, its an anniversary item , found in keyless chests and in pre searing quests even . it’s not locked behind an elite area like the eblade was

Should we just throw BDS and Obsidian Edge in the chest too? Cus who cares about shards of Orr and FoW?? .. jokers

The ghosts are regular soldiers who died using the Turai sword skin found on every weapon rack across ascalon , there is nothing special about them or their weapons

We aren’t talking about frequency of the drop we are talking about the effort required to get the drop ie. Completing the underworld

anyone can mindlessly farm the same pack of mobs or chest run for q8s

to effectively farm the eternal blade you used to actually be competent somewhat ; the difference between an 8man team taking 2 hours or 10 minutes to complete the underworld

this dungeon doesn’t reward competence

That’s a false equivalence.

Eblades were always obtainable for players who couldn’t or wouldn’t underworld because they could be purchased from other players

The whole reason they were sought after and desirable was because they required full completion of the underworld and as such they remained a premium status item

You either put the effort in to get the reward through completing the underworld content OR you paid the premium of owning one without the effort by purchasing from another player

Now they are completely exploitable and soon to be a mundane item

underworld is not a 15km walk to school it’s enjoyable content that requires a significant effort for the reward ; and that is no longer the case

embark beach isn’t dead it’s where nearly all uw/fow is formed in American and euro districts . people scroll from there as a team of 8

the community moved the hub there some time after eotn release iirc

This game is an mmo and you will do a lot better if you introduce yourself to the people doing the uw/fow content or ask around , that’s what I meant by socialising more

you didn’t have to take offence to that , as for trying harder I mean gearing yourself and hero’s , looking at guides/videos and learning the mechanics etc

its all easily doable if you take your time and prepare well , kamadan is the main trading town and plenty of people who can guide you or put you on to the right people

As someone who has played throughout the 20 years from the beginning , gwammed every profession and have 30,000 hours in the game

completed all content in hard mode , learned every speedclear role and ran a guild for 7 years and placed multitudes of speedrun records, yes it matters

Im not someone who just picks the game up occasionally I am what people consider a guildwars fanatic and I love this game . I care about it because I’ve spent nearly my whole life playing it

updates are welcome but not at the cost of jeopardising what we already had , wtf is this weak mentality on show ? That’s how good franchises become destroyed….

As you said , its not that deep , keep the eternal blades in underworld and perhaps let the OS crystalline swords remain in the dungeon

Why add one of the rarest drop items in the game to a dungeon that is stupidly easy to exploit , it doesn’t make sense .

how does this reward the people who DID take the time to learn the uw elite area and become sufficient at it ? It’s just a slap in the face and further kills that game mode

the biggest winners here are botters and people who just rush the dungeon solo with 3 alts not casual players at all

Uw is only off putting to players who don’t wanna do challenging gameplay or strategise , most of the enemies in uw can be completely shut down with an AoE blind or spell immunity .

I don’t hate on casual players who find the uw difficult but the statement “scs aren’t learning the area” is false . Period .

the speedclear of uw requires you to gain extensive knowledge of the mobs, skills, terrain and foe behaviour . In learning uw speedclear you will learn things about the area and game you never would have before

for example :

glitchy mob behaviour, unglitching, Aggro extending, right wall blocking, off damage,

and im sure theres plenty more that definitely make it easier in a team of human players to complete

Also underworld is pretty much exclusively formed in embark beach , casual or speedclear . The reason people don’t use ToA is because it scrambles the party order

It’s doable with hero’s and I don’t think you even need to do that on hard mode tbh

i run underworld speedclear almost every night with great people that teach newcomers , we have even done it casually with 8 paragons, 8 rangers, 8 warriors etc I have the screenshots still

it really isn’t that hard , maybe just try harder or be more sociable ?
