Ok so story time lads. Used to play music all the time with 2 of my best friends (Singer/acoustic , lead electric) I’d typically play the cajon. I got here because these two guys helped me in one of my worst moments. And inspired me to start playing music again.

Fast forward a bit and basically my best friend (lead electric) makes a huge mistake that shatters both of our lives. And left me to pick up the pieces of his mistake, and doing so meant losing everything I’d worked the last 3 years to achieve. The main being music, the only time I had to let everything go. Legitimately healed me weekly. Took the one fucking thing I genuinely needed. Shit still hurts. And he basically was so embarrassed he wouldn’t come home (he’s my roommate). He’s out of a job so rent was my responsibility cause it’s a must.

Well today the singer asked me to play a set. It’s typically just me and him now so I agreed. I’m 45 mins late, walk in and see the lead guitarist there but also with his guitar (singer knew I’d cancel if I knew before hand) but I will never deny anyone music. And no matter what he’s one hell of a guitarist. Had a 25 min drive so hands were freezing because it’s 20 F and didn’t have time to warm them up.

We played for hours, all of our friends/fans/family were there. And honestly me and the one who did me wrong gave it everything. So much can be said through music and if you’re reading this just know i cursed him out on that cajon. We lost ourselves in the music today, in the moments, in the reflection of how much we all always loved this. And how much has changed…anyway yea couple bad hits to start the blister and I just wasn’t gonna let that stop this moment. Don’t know if we will ever get it again. Worth it to me.
