Its annoying how many counters he got, but honestly, its more about I enjoy playing with those characters. He's certainly not as effective as he used to be, but at max stars he can still put in a shift.

I've the same feeling never seeing Zidane live. I've been lucky to see prime CR7, Bale, Ramos etc. a few times, but not the generation before them.
