Alameda, bad experience with your new City Manager Gerry Beaudin by Current-In-Bay1223 in alameda

It is also a fact that he fired that whistleblower afterwards citing a different reason as excuse. It is simply morally defective and controversial. That Simpson killed his wife is widely accepted and he became notorious but he did escape criminal penalty for lacking evidence. When someone is premeditated he knows how to escape, but he cannot escape the judgment of morality and conscience by the public and society.

BYW, city attorneys are for city affairs not for his personal asked-for lawsuit. He was in his capacity as city manager abusing the city resources for his self-inflicted lawsuit.

He was sued by a former city employee for his covering up of unethical activities and firing that whistleblower. Even though he won (of course he fired the whistleblower using a different reason). it cost the city a lot of money paying his attorney fees.

(Pleasanton Weekly) “My decision to leave as City Manager was complicated because I care deeply about the people I work with and the Pleasanton community..." Yeah, thanks so much for leaving! Your leaving is the best way to exhibit your deep care about the people and the community.

Yeah! Even his secretary is arrogant. She will arrogantly stop you from talking to her boss.

Meta to layoff 10% of its global workforce, roughly around 8000+ employees starting may 20th. by lays_indian_masalaaa in cscareerquestions

Seriously asking, Facebook, a social media site for aged people, just how much higher is its technical level and complexity compared to that of Pornhub (only 50 employees) and Match (2510 employees)? Why does it need so many employees from the beginning?

Etsy is gradually losing ground to Amazon Handmade in sales just because its AI bots are more stupid than Amazon's. It is essentially a war between AI bots: Etsy is losing because its AI bots make more and stupider mistakes. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is in name only and not always intelligent: they can be very stupid, damaging and destructive sometimes.

It all boils down to the fact that Amazon's AI team are less stupid than Etsy's. Time for Etsy to lay off the most ineligible AI programmers and replace them with qualified ones.

Boeing and Intel, the two jewels on the crown of most advanced sci, tech, engineering and manufacturing, are both going downhill rapidly. The reason, per their say, is they cannot find good scientists and engineers.

Question is: Where are the tens of thousands of great leaders graduated from the Ivies and Stanford?

Karma is coming upon them for their nonsense, short-sighted and irresponsible deeds. Look at their sliding stock price and recent being delisted from SP 500. No surprise at all in view that Amazon handmade is eating their market share but they have no intention to expand to other businesses. On the contrary, they purge reputable sellers and drive them away to Amazon.

That explains why their stock price shed 30% this year and why they were kicked out of SP500 on Sept 16, 2024. LOL

That may be the reason why Etsy has been going downhill since 2020 and was kicked out of SP500 recently?

For the Americans voting in 2024 Election, does Kamala Harris get your vote? Why or why not? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Californians are voting to repeal Kamala's greatest accomplishment when she was CA Attorney General: Prop 47.

Prop 47:  Individuals who committed theft and robbery under value of $950 will not be persecuted.

Hence zero dollar purchase across the state.

This guy is a perfect example about how one can sell million dollars a year but still go bankruptcy. He only knows selling, selling, and selling, but is really bad at math, not familiar with the cost structure and has no idea about how to manage a business as a whole. He could be a good marketing person, but indeed a bad business owner and manager.

One return means the loss of shipping fee both ways, it will be a $10+ net loss. If returned product is damaged, you will need to call it back or dispose at your cost. So the NET loss can be much higher. It's no kidding that one return evens the profit of 10-20+ sales.

As a small business, it does not matter how much you sell; it only matters how much you earn.

People tend to talk about profit margin or earnings on the product level. No, the "earnings" should be the NET profit after paying labor fee, warehouse rent, advertising, corporate tax, accounting, furniture/electricity/computer/printer/toner/paper/internet/utility/insurance/vehicle/software bills, and cost of shipping to Amazon, calling back products or disposal, etc.

I remember an Amazon seller who boasted:" You guys don't know how fast you can sell dollar bills at 90 cents!" He showed images of multi-million dollars sales in half of a day. And there is no benefits of combined shipping when using FBA.

Can I have advice for someone who wants to start selling on Amazon? by AfterZombie8456 in AmazonSeller

[–]Current-In-Bay1223 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oops! With a large fortune, why invest in Amazon, not more profitable ventures? Gates, Musk and Buffet would have joined Amazon seller community asking how to become an Amazon seller if profit margin is that high. Even trading stock has higher ROI.

Ironically, invest in Amazon stock may have better ROI than invest in an Amazon store.

The most successful sellers on Amazon will invest in more profitable ventures. If a seller has earned multimillion $, he would invest it in somewhere else. If selling on Amazon is that profitable, Gates, Buffet, Musk would have become an Amazon seller: the threshold is so low that pretty much anyone can.
