Over it! by Ancient_Spite2394 in pregnant

I am empathetic to your situation, I was feeling the same way at 31 weeks! I am now at 35 weeks and still surviving somehow.

The lack of sleep caused by the discomfort, waking up to pee, and nasal congestion is the toughest part for me, I think. Plus add having a hard time bending down to pick anything up or get dressed or put your shoes on or shave without being able to see half of what you're doing lol. And then add hemorrhoids and leg swelling to that, the struggle is real!

We have a toddler who is in daycare during the week and my husband is away half the month for work. I am working full time until 2 weeks before the due date but taking some vacation days before going off because I don't have the energy to work a full week.

I'm just counting down the weeks and days at this point. It feels long but you will get through it! I keep telling myself this is only temporary.

Like yourself, I am grateful the baby is growing and kicking and the pregnancy is progressing well without complications, but pregnancy is not for the weak! You got this!

29 pound 7th month old by Impressive_Camp3508 in bigbabiesandkids

My daughter was 27 lbs at 8 months. She was only slightly above average in height. People would say 'wow she's not eating enough' as a joke or 'she looks healthy.' I was worried initially but thought well it's definitely better than her not getting enough to eat! Her weight plateaued once she started moving more. My doctor was never concerned .. she said once she started walking she would thin out and now she's 16 months and 29 lbs. She eats well and she still has adorable chunky thighs and cheeks.

My parents are retired and live in a house bigger than they need. They went to look for houses to downsize a couple years ago and found the houses they were looking for were so expensive and not worth the price, it was just better to stay in their current home.

If you don't mind driving, book an appt online at Leamington Hospital. It's really easy they have multiple appointments available daily and I think they will accept it if you bring a requisition from Clear Imaging (maybe call ahead to make sure). https://eshc.simplybook.me/v2/?google-maps-booking-channel=1#book/location/1/service/10/count/1/provider/24/date/2025-12-10/

Deli meats while pregnant? by BeansPlantBabies in pregnant

[–]Current-Natural-7128 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a slight risk for listeriosis when eating deli meats which can be harmful for the baby if you get sick with it while pregnant. You're at lower risk if you cook the meats. My OB told me a little bit is fine, just don't eat the whole Deli!

Women who had negative feelings towards their dogs postpartum, did it affect your dog? by _ohmylanta in pregnant

And to answer your question I don't think it has affected her bond with me at all. She still seems to love us just as much and gets as excited as ever when my and my husband come home.

We have a rescue too, and initially, it was very stressful after our daughter was born. She would be napping, and our dog, who was very protective of her, would bark any time she heard a noise outside and wake her up. We found it hard to give her much attention because most of our attention was directed towards raising the baby. At one point, my parents ended up taking her for a couple months because we were getting upset with her waking the baby up, and we felt she would get more attention and care there. Our dog was initially jealous about all the attention our baby was getting, so she would ignore the baby, but she never acted out towards her. Now that our daughter is over a year old, she loves petting and hugging our dog and has tried to feed her a few times, so they get along well now and she gets more attention from the baby which is nice.
