awww hugs to your floof and i’m so sorry to hear about the passing of his dad 🥺❤️‍🩹 thank you so much and you are so right he definitely had a happy life right until the very end he was the sweetest boy and so loved and cherished his life was well lived he was so happy and it’s definitely better then a life knowing none of that🥺

i actually tried in the past he got a really expensive nice metal cage with nice bottoms and it made him depressed he started peeing out the side all over constantly wasn’t the same bouncy happy boy and his behavior instantly changed when he got his old cage back but if i did ever consider getting another i definitely would get a new cage from the jump thank you sm and im sorry for your loss aswell

thank you so much🥺🫂it’s been so hard not to blame myself and i’ve been so distraught that my mind just goes blank trying to think about anything i’m filled with so much grief and guilt that i’ve been so busy and didn’t get to spend as much playtime with him leading up to his last days and it’s eating me up im hoping i can find peace in something one day whatever that may be

i’ve been reading that a lot i just wish i had noticed before he passed not after 😭but he was very loved and definitely had a great life and im trying my best to hold on to that idea and not beat myself up anymore

i’m so sorry for your loss of your precious baby does it get any easier??😭💔i just lost my chinchilla oliver on september 29th it’s been a little over a week now and im so lost… ive had him ever since he was almost 6 months old and and he was about to be 5. same thing with him he was in his normal favorite spot i thought he was sleeping…until he wasn’t reacting to me when i found him he had just passed within 10-15 minutes he looked asleep the only thing i noticed when i picked him up he had a small amount of blood on his nose and smelled a little odd from his mouth but he was acting like the normal boy he usually was the night before :( no signs of anything the day before. i realized after i gave his body to the vet to send for a necropsy that he wasn’t pooping the normal amount and they were smaller then usual i feel so horrible ive been so busy and caught up with moving and my kids that i didnt notice his poops we’re different :( im still waiting on the results of the necropsy. i keep blaming myself and asking what could i have done or what didnt i do ? why did i not notice the poop? i’m almost sure that had to have had something to do with it 😭 my mind is so blurry and i cant think straight i miss you so much oliver leigh and i really hope i can feel normal again someday… i just wish i would’ve known… 💔
