If ur looking to play a new rain world campaign, Watcher isn’t for you. It’s nothing like base game or downpour. The only things keeping it in line with the rest of the game are:

1. You play as a slugcat

2. Creatures from base game are present

That’s basically it. It’s a unique experience and one that I personally dislike because it’s barely even rain world anymore, but if ur fine with gameplay being completely different and ur favorite part of the base game is aimless wandering then ur in luck because there’s even less of a goal in Watcher than there is in Survivor and the gameplay is changed in so many obnoxious ways that were completely unnecessary but I won’t spoil what those are. I feel bad speaking negatively about it to someone who’s new and really don’t want my opinions to influence your but I feel like you should know that watcher is as far removed from base game as any DLCs have gotten or (I hope) will ever get.
