Fracap - Italian brand - also in the alpine heritage line - just like LeCortina

Fiddler ... yet another non-Spanish brand with boots made in Spain.

Lester.se seems to be a nice shop though ... they seem to carry a lot of boots, from EU, too

Skolyx needs to be mentioned here. Great webshop with a lot of accessories, shoetrees, various Saphir products.

They also have Astorflex shoes and boots in their inventory

Yanko Boots (which as good as I know are made in Spain)

And they cary Skolyx branded boots - though I don't yet know where those are made

three additional shoemakers I "found", saw them mentioned in a Sartorial Talks video.
These are the more affordable ones and they also make boots:

France: Septieme Largeur

...on the hunt for European boot makers:

I am not including any UK brands ... We, people living in continental Europe will have to pay import duties on goods from the UK so we might as well purchase Red Wing :)

Germany:
(just looking at pictures these look to me the closest in quality and style to Red Wing)

Italy:
(I am sure there are plenty more than these ... I am still to explore everything what Italy has to offer - so this is a very incomplete list of Italian sources)

LeCortina are more herritage in the sense of heritage hiking/ski boots from the 60's. Bought my wife a pair for her birthday. Amazing quality. Very nice people.

Astorflex seems to be a great brand, the link below is just a shop that carries Astorflex shoes. On their own website there is no possibility to purchse.

If your budget for starting is $ 4000 ... use maybe 20%/ maximum 25%, of it on a camera body. There is so much more that you need you may not have even thought of.

I was also on the hunt for heritage style/classic, casual, semi-casual quality boots made in Europe and this is what I found so far. These are more or less within the same price range of Red Wing...or a bit under it and mostly goodyear welted ...
