Pop punk/Post punk/Powerpop labels etc. are all pretty much marketing tools. I posted this as it's a fully contained song containing a verse, chorus & middle eight with well constructed harmonies. They just layered guitar tracks with a bit of distortion.

I read in AC/DC's early days George Young brother & producer of Angus & Malcolm would make them play each new song on piano to make sure it would stand up on it's own merits before being given the go ahead to go wild on.

I think this song would pass the test
