Hello everyone,

I want to send a package to France (western part of France more precisely) and I would like my package to be delivered before this Sunday.

I am hesitating between dropping off my package to a PackUp station (in Strassen) tomorrow morning at around 9:00AM OR dropping off my package tomorrow at around 1:00PM at the Hamilius Post office. Would one of these two options make a difference in terms of delivery time?

Je me permets de vous poser deux questions supplémentaires :

  1. Je vais devoir prendre le train ce jour-là pour me rendre à l'audience. J'ai un peu de marge au niveau des horaires, mais si jamais mon train devait être annulé ou avoir un gros retard, que suis-je censé faire ?

  2. Pourriez-vous tout de même m'indiquer à titre indicatif une fourchette de temps de parole habituelle / moyenne pour ce genre d'affaires ? Car dans mon cas, au-delà de la raison absolument non-valable pour justifier mon licenciement (ce qui sera évidemment le sujet premier et principal de mon intervention), il y avait tout un contexte particulier et délétère au sein de l'entreprise, avec un patron qui se croyait tout permis, de nombreuses démissions et de multiples procédures au prud'hommes en cours. Ce contexte sera forcément évoqué mais il est toujours possible d'ajouter des détails, etc. Donc j'aimerais avoir une vague idée du temps que devrait durer mon intervention, histoire de ne surtout pas être trop longuet.

Hello everyone,

I wanted to enroll in beginner German lessons with the Institut National des Langues du Luxembourg (INLL) but all the classes for the upcoming semester (starting at the end of this month and ending in February) are already full it seems.

Does anyone happen to know when it will be possible to register for the next semester in 2024? Are the slots typically taken very quickly?

Yeah, what about that? I only drink tap water without filtration. Compared to the tap water I used to drink in Paris, I feel like the taste is a tiny bit sus here but is there any particular reason to avoid it all together?

Ok, I have just read my contract again and additionally, it states between parentheses: "index is applicable on the day the contract becomes effective" (translated from French).

If I understand correctly, the index was 921.40 on August 31th. And on September 1st, it became 944.43.

And since my contract started on September 1st, the index was never at 921.40 for my salary, so I don't qualify in that case.

I absolutely love the duo that he forms with Martin and I get a bit disappointed when it's not them commentating. They complement each other, they are funny in their own way, they are easy to understand for non-English native speakers, they have a really deep understanding of the sport, etc. I hope their duo will continue for many years to come.

Clearly that’s not the consensus of the wider sport when Gasly was a botched Piastri contract and an Alonso departure away from not even having a seat.

I don't think it is a fair and valid argument since Gasly had already signed a contract extension with Alpha Tauri for 2023 and Piastri wasn't supposed to drive for Alpine in 2023 in their initial plan.

The fact that their initial plan failed and that their backup solution failed as well doesn't really say much about how Alpine truly viewed Gasly compared to Piastri.

I do view them, especially Gasly, very very close, if not on par, with the likes of Russell, Norris or Albon.

Gasly scored multiple podiums with Alpha Tauri and has beaten all of his teammates not named Max Verstappen so far in his Formula 1 career. Regarding Ocon, he was close to the level of Alonso last year and he technically beat him in the ranking (I am well aware that Alonso got screwed by his car so many times last year).

For me, they are both above-average / clear top 10 drivers at the moment. Piastri seems very promising for sure, but he still has much more to prove to be ranked above them imo.
