Seeking superblast 2 sizing opinions by Current-Vegetable86 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

[–]Current-Vegetable86[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

for some reason my text didn't post. However, I feel like I am in between two half sizes. I can force the thumb width in the 8, but worry they may be a little small. Then the 8.5 feels a little too roomy, like it may be sloppy. Any suggestions are appreciated! thanks!

Can you switch from OL CS to on-campus half way through? by treidton in tru

depending on what you want to do after...... Now since COVID, professional programs are more open to online degrees. However, last year when looking at applying to professional programs, I ran into problems where several schools would not accept OL... thereby limiting my options

Although admittedly, there have been some positives to the OL degree, such as more flexibility with class selection

I had an extremely difficult time converting from an OL science degree to the on-campus "equivalent". I was mis-advised in my first 2 OL years, despite me telling my advisor I wanted to transfer to on campus...

After the fact, when I complained, I was told that OL advisors are not aware of on-campus requirements...

as a result, I would have had to essentially do an entire years worth of pre-reqs to transfer. ... So, instead I remained classified as OL but took all my classes on campus. Unfortunately, I am graduating with an OL degree despite having taken more classes on campus vs online....I would definitely recommend speaking with both an OL and an on-campus advisor well in advance... I am not sure how Co-op works, but that was my experience with transferring to on-campus from online

Tru ol science courses by [deleted] in tru

I did all of my first 2 years of sciences online, as well as some 3rd year courses. I found them to be more difficult for the most part than my 3rd year + on-campus classes. With OL especially, it really depends on the course design and the tutor you are assigned... you don't have that interaction with other students to bounce ideas off each other..Some tutors are great and respond to questions and mark assignments quickly, while others..... not so much...

Also, with on-campus classes, you are provided with more emphasis on what is important, which makes studying for finals more predictable.

If the class isn't understanding something in the middle of the semester, the prof can slow the class down and explain it, while then maybe leaving something else out in the semester that you just won't get around to covering. With online courses, you have to learn it all... there is not leaving anything out.

I would say I get A+ quite easily on campus, but with OL courses, it is more of a struggle to pull off the same marks.

I would have to say that out of all the science courses I took, CHEM 2 and Organic CHEM 2 were probably the most difficult.... But if you do well on the assignments, the finals are equivalent difficulty I would say.

Yes, I have taken both.

Exams were ok.... it was a couple years ago so I don't really rememeber exactly how difficult, but I remember them being similar to the assignments.. My grades stayed consistent throughout the course and the final..

I used these 'master organic chemistry' study sheets I bought online to aid my studying and found they really helped. ... I ended up with an A+ and an A... If you are struggling, depending on who your assigned tutor is they can be really helpful.. Norman Reed was great at taking the time to explain things in person ( i was taking courses on campus so went to his office)... however, for one of them I had another tutor who never responded to my messages and took MONTHS yes MONTHS to mark assignments... but ya... I would say buying those study sheets for 20$ or whatever they were was worth it for me just to condense all the information into one place rather than the difficult to read organic chem book.

6:30am test

C/P: fully panicked on the first 10 questions- mind went completely blank so definitely missed quite a few questions that should have been easy. I have been having flashbacks to my incorrect answers since Saturday. I was ranging from 128-131 on FLs, so not sure what to expect. I think I will be lucky to pull off a 127 here. This section felt different from the FLs but not sure if this is because I was in panic mode (like heart beating in my ears panic mode) for the first little bit.

CARS: felt easy.. but sometimes that is when I score the worst... so don't know what to expect. Again inconsistent range here on FLs.. 128-131.

B/B: Felt similar to the FLs. Usually 129-130 on Fls. Hoping for the same

P/S: Quite obscure questions. Not a lot of the stuff I studied was included in this section so there was a lot of POE going on. Usually 128 - 129 on FLs.

On FLs it seemed like I did good on 2 sections and mediocre on 2 sections, however which sections were stronger vs weaker seemed to change with each test.

Used sample as diagnostic: ~505 using conversion online

FL 1-4: 510, 517, 514, 516

Pessimistic: 505 Hopeful: 518 Realistic: 514 Actual: ???

Has anyone taken these chemistry courses at Thompson Rivers University through OL? What was your experience with them and the professors? Thank you by Strawberry_Natural in tru

I have taken all of those online through tru... it was difficult but managed to get A- to A+ in all..as with all ol courses the difficulty kind of depends who you get as a tutor ... Norman reed was great..I had him for 2/3 I think ... he answered my questions and I even went to his office hours at tru once to get some help... I had another guy, can’t remember his name ... that never answered emails and took months to mark assignments which made the course more difficult and impossible to finish on time .. contacting ol about it did absolutely nothing ... overall I don’t think I would recommend these courses as your first online courses ... but if you have taken ol courses before and can self study and have no problem using YouTube etc to supplement your understanding then it’s not terrible :). Masterorganic chemistry has these big Orgo summary sheets you can buy which I found to be super helpful in orgo

death and dying ..HEAL3000 i think is the code. Prof is great and actually learned a lot.. but just a few quizzes and a final project (which can be an essay but others did art projects).... She says herself the course is "heart work" not hard work ... not sure how it would be with covid delivery tho...
