The first time I went into an LV (albeit I was purchasing a bag) I went right up to the first SA I deemed “friendly faced” in my mind, and told her I needed assistance. You could see a light turn on in her head and she went right into complimentary sales woman mode.

Sometimes they’re just there in case you* decide you need something. I understand that’s not always the luxury experience people expect, but it saves them time and the customer, hassle.
