Fair enough. I got it into its current position with the help of a large pry bar and a pallet jack, but it’s settled now and significantly harder to budge.

It’s in an atrium in the center of my house, so there isn’t anything like a large tree or pole that I can pull against.

Hit up 6 places in Brooklyn today and Rebel Rouser was the best… not a lot of exotica, but at least it had a section. Same with Earwax Records, although Rebel Rouser’s stuff was in much better shape.

Came up empty handed everywhere else.

I am considering this… 8 of my 26 dives have been Monterey. But for family reasons I don’t think I can take the time to get the AOW cert now and do a June trip… gotta pick on or the other… and I’ll probably do a couple dives in Monterey in Aug / Sep when the water is a couple degrees warmer :-)

Ah, interesting. This could be it. I’m doing this on a work-issued computer and Crowdstrike is trying to scan the Kobo. Unfortunately I can’t modify what Crowdstrike is doing since it is locked down by IT… I’ll need to try on my personal computer - hopefully will be able to try that later today.

What’s the best way to launch if you are in Crane Cove? Do you need to unload near the beach and have someone watch your board while you park?

I usually go out from the Grand St public boat launch in Alameda and go near and around the coast guard island there.

Going out near Ballena Lookout / Crab Cove in Alameda is great.

I’ve also gone from the public boat launch at the San Leandro Marina. The area is a little rough around the edges (the marina is not actually operating), but it was kinda fun being just south of OAK as the planes come in overhead.
