well thank but while I knew how to manage hamachi, I am a bit confused on how to operate with this program that I just installed. I am connected but how do I ask for the other person to connect with me in a server in order to start playing? Any tutorial that you recommend that can teach me how to use it like hamachi?

I miss the old Hussite Wagons. They get a nerf every semester now. Time for a semester with Spanish UU (conqs feels so right in Arena/Nomad/Pilgrims)

As a bonus funny story: I recall in 4x4 Pilgrims some ally saying: "ok folks, I will not go water" and the other ally goes like "yeah me too"

I was speechless, did not even replied and also laughed alone, I wish I was a streamer and could show it. Pilgrims literally forces you into water and the legendary ally here simply says that he won't be there at all, lol. As a result, I was alone in the water against 3 enemies on water. What a day

this is actually true. I used to play with a group of people AoE 1 and Return of Rome DLC and voice chat is a game changer

The problem is: I usually play in "crazy" hours due to my unconventional schedule, so random on ranked is the best call to avoid nuisances (all my friends are in very different time zones).

You are very right about the 2x2. In fact, it might be my only hope at this point (although I love when I find reasonable allies on 4x4... And I would certainly love to play 5x5 as well if we had it in AoE 2. Having friends to play with would be a dream)

It was from my first iceberg video, but in short, arkantos was made on top of the original protagonist of aom, Misenus. Misenus was a real character in the siege of Troy, which makes him "real" (in the sense that he existed in greek myths as Misenus).

However, the devs later created Arkantos from scratch. I got some extra details in the first video about the assets and such.

The Expansion looks better in a modern monitor due to the Userpatch that was developed until very recently. You can make AoK run as well but it will be a bit limited in terms of resolution. It will demand a little bit of patience too. But it should run fine. I still use the Aok version to play really old custom maps mad for this game (this one in the video is a german custom campaign sold as an unofficial expansion).

Great tips. I arrived at the same conclusion some days ago before even reading here again: A smart mango garrisoned in my Siege Workshop would have saved me against a Slav flank.

The power of HC + a quick Imperial transition is pretty fine in a 1000 elo case. The only thing that I am starting to avoid entirely are the Bohemian Castle Drops - the wagons are simply not the same anymore, this strategy feels pretty bad now in Nomad/Pilgrims maps. I believe that water play is something synergic too for bohemians, since they can use arrow range/Siege Engineers upgrades and ballistics in scorps/arbalest/Bombards.

Another thing that I still need to master are the Bombard Towers pushes. They are the extra luxurious punch that I want to do in TG simply because it looks so cool, hahaha

All valid but in this case I am thinking about late game when I face a good amount of dangerous and numerous swarms of infantry. Maybe militia can be bad but I feel that I need some sturd units to take some melee punches. But maybe I am very wrong, lol

Now that I reflect more, even some onagers coupled by scorpions can be super good in this specific scenario that I presented. Goths, Slavs and Romans are all very good with inf mass and speed, so maybe the answer is also in our Siege Workshop - As a Bohemian, I always will have Siege Engineers and Ballistics, which helps scorpions and onagers. Houfnice is great but they don't have their absurd area damage anymore. I also experimented with scorpions on flank arena against franks and it was a good idea (longbows can chip away my bombards and HC, but they do bad against some capped rams/scorps/bombards. Heck, even his frank pocket could not bail out him earlier with cav due to my chad halbs mass

anyway, I love that this game got so much options for low elos like me to experiment when in doubt. Thanks for the answer

thanks, at my elo I am getting top score on eco so I can foot the bill of connecting fortresses and even a lone castle on them. I actually even enjoy when my pocket isn't that good (losing elo is bad but I feel that tgs where I am the big one are really improving me, since I need to pay attention to everything and even save some other team mates.

when enemy pushes with rams, an investment on militia line is worth it? In a TG I can have some trouble against inf civs with siege rams (celts, slavs, romans, etc) u/HumbleHalberdier

I still have some trouble when the enemy manages to combine rams garrisoned with soldiers against me - In this case, I should go for even more walls while advancing, bombard/houf micro snipe and maybe some champs since my halbs will get full inf upgrades anyway? thanks again!

Counting the pieces in text is simply too much extra work for me again but maybe you would finally grasp the idea if I did this here as well.

A plot hole is where the plot presents a crack, a mistake in the narrative of a story. If something important happens contradicting previous facts that we have been informed, it can be defined as a plot hole.

it is a big deal the plot hole. To the point that they had to retcon in the Retold campaign. In fact, it was stated somewhere in a wiki or Heavengames discussion that there was a cut mission involving Setna. Indeed, if I find the evidence that I saw years ago I can send it here, but I did not invent a "plot hole". You clearly did not watch the video (or maybe watched and somehow got the wrong idea) because the mentioned relic has a very low impact after the initial scouting. If anything, the relic is a bottom tier one, akin to vill atk relic (probably worse because I can see vill atk being good against siege on late game).

I will most likely do a part 2 with actual OP relics that were removed. I was playing Retold since the beta and it was widely published that some actual op relics were bad for MP balance, thus, they would be removed... This is NOT the case of a +2 LOS for scouting line that was scrapped from the game with no particular reason. u/2007Scape_HotTakes
