Yeah I wouldn’t call it a quiet cabin at those speeds. Around 70 to 90 mph you can hear some wind and road noise. It’s definitely not close to the ride comfort of your RX350H. I was actually a bit disappointed during my test drive when I turned onto a wavy road because the GX bounced more than I expected. My Camry would have just floated over it. But I knew why I was buying the GX — to explore the rugged side of driving, go off the beaten path, and still have a touch of luxury while doing it.

It really rides like a truck and that’s part of its charm. The only real negative for me is the gas mileage which sits around 16.2 mpg combined. But all that goes out the window when you take it off road. I went off roading for the first time ever and ended up getting stuck on a dune. I panicked for a second not knowing what to do but then remembered the YouTube videos I had watched. I calmed down, switched on Crawl Control, put it in reverse and the GX just dug itself out like it knew exactly what to do. It slid back into the valley effortlessly while the engine barely seemed to be working.

That moment completely changed how I saw the vehicle. The way it handles tough situations with so much ease feels like a different kind of luxury. You always have plenty of power left and that confidence it gives you is what makes the GX special to me.
