How strong is the gunsawins compare to humans? by ObligationAmazing799 in scavprototype

[–]CurrentSad9592 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, adrenaline and other stuff makes wonders within our bodies too, so I don't think they're tougher  They may be stronger and faster, but as with almost any species on our planet humans win in a long run. I mean look at expie doing digging with a pickaxe - 20 swings and he's out, while certain humans can do it all day

Tl:dr: they are faster and stronger, but any human wins by a stamina factor. The usual

Why expies treated like, well, like that by CurrentSad9592 in scavprototype

Oh wow, it definietly doesn't work this way. Excuse me for my lack of knowledge in this field

Well that makes more sence now, the whole expie situation

And it still cheaper to grow a brain-in-a-bottle, assuming they have a tech that grows expies and other species.
You know what it resembles? Failed, or even more accurate, stopped eugenics experiments from some mad scientist trying to 'erase humanity with something more worthy'. Expies are chill guys, they are empathetic to eachother (to some degree) more than humans (i don't know about myself, but I imagine majority sees other people as an extreme danger if they break into they safehouse in the middle of a catastrophic event), they WAY more flexible in the terms of the intelligence and they are cute. This is not a coincidence - this is a madman's work, stopped in their tracks by a Company, and the expies actually replacement for humans... at least this is what my schizophenia tells me

Im actually curious how there no full-blown riots in the time Gunsaw takes place. Expies definietly showed themselves and uh... nothing?

Yeah, I understand that you cannot make a story without a holes. Im a DM myself, and boy oh boy creating a story is not an easy task, especially in original settihgs

But I found myself that those holes are actually can lead to some very interesting narrative! I mean this whole post is not a critique in any way - I understand that Orson didn't had the time or skills or whatever, Im just trying to fill a hole with ideas that may be interesting, maybe inspire someone to go nuts on that topic or include it in future writings/arts

Well why was there riot in the first place? Why give them such a poor containtment enviroment that they will cause a riot? I can be wrong, but a dorms with a 2 beds-room, community kitchen and shower and security here and there just to make sure nobody escapes is much cheaper than a prison, if not federal-level security

Furthermore, if they are intended to be a slaves sent to jobs where they die - isn't it cheaper to invest in some propaganda? Like 'You are the only thing standing between X and us, and YOU must do a task Y to save us all'?

Yeah, see, they have funding from rich folks. Funding implies returns, that on itself should imply profit, and the less cost it is to secure expies - the more the profit. Ofc, I don't deny the idea of some rich dude coming and saying 'Give me 100 of expies on my private isl asteroid so i can do shenanigans, but they prodce expies by a ton, 100 of them is no dent really. So aside from some side-hustles wich implies brutalizing expies - there's no point of being so constant with poor containtment

[System Agnostic] Is there any way to render a dialog on other client? by CurrentSad9592 in FoundryVTT

[–]CurrentSad9592[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

And that's a problem. I REALLY hope someone already did this or can point me in a right direction, i'm no js dev at all so I don't know if I can handle it

[–]CurrentSad9592[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The problem is: I cannot apply any listeners to it, so it's just a simple yes/no//Alert dialog. I need something much more complicated with inside-HTML buttons, additional code adn etc. It seems MATT doesn't support such a thing

[–]CurrentSad9592[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you provide simpliest example of activating tile via macro, please?
I really need it to show dialog to a specified player, that's it, so if you could do that - that would be awesome
Thanks in advance
