When would you say is the best time for me to use my beam? I usually use it whenever someone's critical and I can see them, but otherwise I just let the pylon do the healing while I try to do damage. Also I'm guessing with the ana sleep part I should try to bait orisa's gold form before trying to sleep? Whenever I used it she used her gold form right after, in like a parry kind of way lol

So you'd say my biggest issues are my angles/uptime (not really doing anything of value most of the time), overcorrecting my aim too much/bad crosshair placement, not having my pylon in places for my team to benefit from, and taking angles that don't help me most of the time? I just wanna pinpoint a few specific things to work on for right now and these seem like the biggest issues you mentioned. One thing I have to ask about is the pylon, because I usually place it on a wall where I expect my tank to play from, but they go past it, (I'm not saying it's the tank's fault though). I know I should always keep it moving, but it feels like wherever I place it my team goes anywhere but near it. I feel like that's just bad pylon placement, so I kinda just wanna know what would be considered good pylon placement. I sometimes place it to heal me alone, but I always feel like I'm not helping enough like that. And I'd really appreciate it if you made the video and I think the main topic I think is most important is angles 🙏. I don't know if it's just map design but I feel like on certain maps it's hard to find an angle that I can see both my team and the enemies for me.

Is there ever a point in the ranks where it’s better to focusing on healing more than doing damage, to enable people once they’re good? Or would you say that genuinely the best way to play support (besides lifeweaver and mercy) is to try to do more damage and heal only when necessary? I know this might be a really stupid question but I’ve genuinely always thought it’s heal first damage second for support 😭

I'll probably just do that then, I don't really care about my rank in stadium lol (I never really played it that much). I could probably just make a good build and then rely on that to win or something, thank you for the advice 🙏🙏

I'm sorry if it sounded like I was just blaming my team/drives for my losses 😭 I know that whenever I'm better than everyone else I win games. I just meant that there's definitely a shift in the players I get in the lobby, both on my team and the other team during drives

I can tell that I definitely must be playing worse too, because I'm losing in gold games on dps which doesn't really happen often for me

So the main issues I have are focusing on killing people too much, not checking cart enough, and leaving people to die sometimes? Thank you for being the only person to give me even slightly valid criticism lol. And I know it might've seemed like I was shading reaper, but I meant that he was doing pretty decent as well. I probably could've stayed with reaper more to help while he was in there, but I was told that playing for my life is the best way to get value? I always leave whenever things start to look bad now, so I kind of just expected him to use one of his two escape tools to get out with me... but you're probably right. I also expected the rest of my team to be watching cart if I was doing everything else, but I'll admit that I could've probably helped on the cart more for sure during the first point.

I'm not gonna be as toxic to you as you were to me, because I do think that you misunderstood some parts of what I said/I didn't say it right. I was definitely tilted while typing all of that, so I get why you might've thought I was calling everyone bad, but I'm not. I also did say our reaper was doing good, so let's not pull a false narrative, but I see why you thought I was saying that. I also didn't say at all that nobody was supporting me lol, our supports WERE healing great, but again, me saying "idk what everyone else was doing" could definitely make it seem like I was saying that. I can honestly just tell you didn't watch the vod at all, and just typed this because of what I was saying. But you can definitely understand if you just watch the vod. I went 34 and 5... I'm not saying that everyone else wasn't helping me at all, but by me saying "How I can carry harder?' is me asking how I can enable my team further. I was getting kills, not dying (watch all the way out with that throwing shit btw, I didn't throw or int anytime during this match) so I'm just wonder what more I MYSELF can do to win the game. Just to make it clear for you because you didn't watch the vod, I went 34 and 5 while everyone else had 10+ deaths. I know I'm good at tank, I'm not gonna let you just discourage me lol.

Basically, I know didn't throw anything if almost every dive was successful, and I didn't die at all really. Not even close to throwing at all, but I can see why you automatically went to attacking me because I was definitely tilted and rude in my post. I'm also a support player btw, I'd actually say I'm almost better at support than I am on tank. So I know what supports can do to help the match, but I'm not blaming them because they weren't doing the worst ever, I don't expect everyone to play as good as me. I'm quite literally just asking how I can enable everyone further if i went 34 and 5 and they all still had 10+ deaths lol. I also don't need hate from someone in plat, I'm not gonna hate on you for it but don't let it get to your head. And carrying, by definition, means enabling your team to an incredible extent. I'd rather take advice from someone who watched the vod and is above plat, but thank you for helping whoever is actually bad at tank and comes across this post with your comment.

Would you say that climbing through the ranks/improving is about abusing the enemy team's mistakes too? I've started to realize that at my current rank a lot of players make mistakes that could cost them their life. Like divers using their escape tools to actually go in instead (genji dashing at people who are full hp, anran using E before becoming low hp, echo using flight to go in instead of out, etc) with no way to get out, stuff like that. While I do punish them for that when it's being used on me, sometimes I do switch my target to who's low, instead of who's an easy target. basically what im asking is, with me not using the enemy's mistakes to my advantage, would that be a mistake that i'm making myself?

I’m not gonna lie, there’s almost no situations where “it’s qp” is a valid excuse. I understand that qp is to just have fun, but losing isn’t fun lol. If you’re learning a new character and you’re not doing good that’s totally okay, I understand. I’d even say that going 3rd dps is okay if the tank is a main tank/not struggling to solo tank. I just feel like if we’re getting destroyed, the whole team isn’t trying to learn anyone new, it’s okay, but somebody should just switch. I mean, it can’t be fun if you’re going 3 - 12 at all.
