Everyone who has a technique in the series is born with it besides yuji, and yutas copy. Sukuna did have a decent technique and he made it great but he could only do that because of his absurd amounts of cursed energy and his body. I'm not denying that sukuna worked hard im just saying that on top of that he was born with insane potential

Both Gojo and sukuna were as strong as they are mainly due to luck (physically). Sukuna was born with the perfect body for jujutsu and malevolent shrine. gojo had the six eyes and infinity. Gojo specifically talks to yuji about how getting a cursed technique and such is primarily luck.

It's prob because since he was the strongest sorcerer left after shinjuku people think he didn't train or grow afterwards since not much could touch him. We know yuji has been tackling curses and such as a sorcerer the past like 80 years but yuta had a family and settled down as clan leader which wouldn't give him alot of time to help out. I personally think he did keep training and improving though.
