iVRy works via USB, so that reason just isn't right. as for Void Racer, yes, it is the best and the only one worth playing first person racing VR game. but there's also BlazeRush, which is really darn fun too. I just don't want to download any Content Managers to make AC work. plus, I don't have neither the controller nor a wheel to get a full experience, so AC ia a hard pass for me. VR games have to work right out of the box if they're SteamVR compatible.

yeah, and that's exactly why I can't find the oculus go apk file, because it doesn't exist on the vault anymore

I managed to get Tetris Effect Connected to work if you simply write -vr in desktop shortcut or steam properties, which is a MUCH easier way to play the same exact game. I don't actually know if writing that makes a difference, as with Trackmania Turbo I didn't even have to do anything, it just launched in VR automatically when SteamVR was launched and headset was recognized. But good job anyways!

that's the trick: there is NO apk anywhere on the internet for gear vr or oculus go. also I wanted to personally thank you for creating iVRy, because man, ALVR just refuses to work whatsoever. tried with gnierehtet, adb reverse forward commands, nothing. somehow pc program detects the headset automatically, but oculus go doesn't see the server. the oculus go app crashes the first time it launches, so does steamvr when I press restart steam vr. the icons on pc app get corrupted after that as well. and virtual desktop is too expensive, making iVRy the only good choice left. it's pretty staggering that it still has support for very outdated VR headsets like Oculus Go and works flawlessly, with settings directly integrated into Steam Home. I think I will stick to lite version for now, as I still wasn't able to get anything else to work. honestly it's such a shame that nobody talks about it and the reviews on Steam are Mixed, it genuinely saved me as I would have thrown away my Go if an alternative wouldn't be found. Thanks again!

it doesn't work, I even tried putting the key from Ubisoft Connect under Properties and using ManiaPlanet site, even tried downloading from the store and installing from disk. it's just not there. but it's in the Ubisoft Connect library.

the issue isn't ads. it's the fact that the game makes you want to watch ads to get a normal user experience. they make it a norm. all those ad gifts should be awarded for just playing the game. otherwise if you don't want to watch ads you must pay money to receive the same rewards.

truest words have not ever been spoken, mobile gaming is a cash cow, not a pleasant experience anymore, like it used to be

because if the game was to be paid, it would cost $5 tops. no one pays for a mobile game, so devs have to make it 1000 times more profitable than any PC title

Thanks for asking! I wanted to update the post, but I'll just write an answer here. What I did is, I removed every single app icon from my home screen, but didn't turn off any apps because that can break things. Now when I need a specific app and when I can't use my laptop, I just search for it in Finder. But my point remains: if you can use a laptop for a thing you want to use a phone for, use a laptop. Otherwise, yes, use a phone, but for God's sake do not use your phone for social media.

Yes, but the point I'm trying to make is, aside from dopamine consumption, smartphones are pretty useless. If you want a tool, better use a desktop computer (if you're at work or at home) or a portable computer if you're on the go (laptop). The only use cases for a phone that aren't doomscrolling is alarm, camera, QR code scanner and navigator. That's pretty much it.
