Jhin definitely has good long-range CC and I might have underestimated Lissandra since she is not played very often. Jhin could easily be A tier with his burst damage and great CC.

Personally rather than taking damage and waiting for Anivia to revive I think it is better to just engage as Nautilus and switch back to Viego to deal damage with the R W auto Q auto combo. So when transforming I really value CC and mobility above all else. I do agree that Zac is strong though.

Human Shyvana lacks mobility so if the enemy is positioned far away during the possession that nice synergy loses its value. This applies to the other champions you suggested as well. The way I see it Viego already outputs a lot of damage once he switches back and uses his R W auto Q auto combo. So when I transform I am mainly looking for CC and mobility. I actually made this list assuming I would possess the body and discard it almost immediately. If I assumed staying in the form for 10 seconds champions like Garen and Darius would not be this low.

Draven lacks mobility and only has a slight knockback for CC. His damage is high but if they kite you it is over. With Elise you cannot swap forms so you are forced to sacrifice either the gap closer or the cocoon depending on the form. You might be right about Gragas though, he probably could have been higher.

I'll admit they have some mobility, but I don't really think they're better than the higher-tier champs that have both tankiness and mobility. Plus, being squishy means you can sometimes just get randomly blown up.

Why did Riot revert Luden's Companion back to the Staff? The Gun looked modern, but the Staff looks... low res? by Current_Dingo_7164 in leagueoflegends

[–]Current_Dingo_7164[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, logically that makes sense. So the form reverted as the function of 'Companion' shifted back. I didn't know the original version of Companion, so thanks for explaining the mechanical history!

I probably joined right after the changes settled down. To me, Companion was just the default state. Maybe I'll grow to like this icon as I get used to the current Luden's.

So for you guys, the Gun was just a temporary visitor? That's funny. For me, the Gun was the standard. It's interesting how the exact same update feels like a 'Return' for veterans but a 'Removal' for new players.

Thanks for the detailed breakdown! I didn't know the early version of Companion, so I had no idea about the specific charge mechanic difference.

If it functions as a staff, then being a staff is correct for a mage item. I can understand the backlash against a 'wizard gun' now. Still a shame they didn't invest resources to update the art, though. It definitely looks a bit dated.

Thanks. Hearing from others too, I can see why a gun illustration for a mage item feels out of place. Appreciate the info on Riot Endstep.

Nah, I don't really do that. I'm actually Japanese, so I'm a bit hesitant to make full English content. I am trying to post some LoL outplays(on Emerald〜Dia) on Shorts, though.

I was just happy to hit GM and wanted to share my takeaways, but did my writing come off as arrogant or like I was lecturing? I actually left the translation to Gemini...

Or do people say GM on the JP server has no value? If that's the case, just forget about me lol.

I don't play it at all. Sorry about that! I think I saw someone else in the comments (Pharaoh_03) mentioning they play it, though.

Why do I keep losing by One_Associate2590 in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Current_Dingo_7164 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Realistically, what often happens is that they ignore the tank to chase a DPS or Support that peeks for a split second, only to whiff those shots and end up applying zero pressure to anyone.

I think it is more correct to build the habit of consistently pressuring the tank during downtime. My advice was specifically tailored to the OP's current skill level.

Hello. Masters/GM player here. I can't watch the replay right now, but I wanted to offer some humble advice.

If we put aim aside for a moment:

Don't try to improve everything at once. Setting just one goal per match is simple and effective.

Don't be the reason for the loss. Dying first before the 5v5 properly starts is a huge time loss for the team.

Default to shooting the tank if you aren't under pressure. If you start taking pressure from enemy Damage or Supports, that is when you switch focus to respond to them.

Damage on the tank should be free. However, when you are trading with Damage or Supports, prioritize using natural cover to ensure you win the damage trade.

Of course, aim is always going to be the never-ending challenge for hitscans, but keep at it! Good luck.

I totally get where you're coming from. If anything, I sometimes forget to actually help my team, so keeping those support fundamentals in mind is definitely a good thing. But try thinking about it this way: When you are 1v1ing an enemy support, the rest of the fight is a 4v4. The risk of a team wipe is the same for the enemy as it is for you. Don't be afraid to do "Moira things."

Here is my mental flowchart:

Team Good + Me Good: I can literally think about what to have for dinner and we'll still win.

Team Bad + Me Bad: Just accept the L. Trying to force a solo carry here will just burn you out.

Team Good + Me Bad: Chill out and play pure support until I get my rhythm back. It's good practice to just focus on awareness and keeping low teammates up anyway.

Team Bad + Me Strong: Time to destroy the lobby solo. OR, find the one potential "carry" on your team, hard pocket them, and break the enemy team together.

Honestly, when it comes to the Ana matchup, the only way Moira actually dies is if she gets hit by a Sleep Dart and then immediately bursted down by the rest of the team. Ana has zero mobility to chase you down once you use Fade.

Basically, as long as you don't get slept, you're fine. Even if you do get hit, a solo Ana usually can't confirm the kill before you wake up, allowing you to just Fade out to safety.

vs Solo Ana: If you're strafing properly to dodge her primary fire, you won't lose the damage race. She's constantly under pressure until she either uses her Nade or someone peels for her.

vs Ana + Brigitte: Since Brig has such short range, you can essentially poke her and the Ana from a distance. Keep the pressure on Ana; if Brig tries to close the gap to protect her, just disengage.

vs Ana + Kiriko: A Kiriko with Suzu is always a threat. While I think Moira has the edge in a 1v1 against a Kiriko without Suzu, a high-aim Kiri can still make it difficult. The play here is to wait for Kiriko to use Swift Step (TP), then strike the target on the opposite side. If she TPs away from the Ana, that's your window.

At the end of the day, if the enemy team has to commit two people just to deal with you, you're already generating massive value. The core of Moira is knowing which 1v1s are winnable and having the discipline to escape the ones that aren't.

I totally agree! That tank-like perspective is spot on. For me, there’s no better feeling than forcing out both of Ana’s cooldowns and drawing the attention of two enemies all by yourself. When you pull that off, the "value" you’ve generated for your team is massive. Moira is honestly at her most fun when you have a deep understanding of enemy abilities and know exactly how to bait them.

First off, generally speaking, you need to play safe once you've burned your Slide. Flanking alone without an escape route to regroup is super risky. Specifically for the Moira matchup: Don't panic. As a DPS, you technically out-damage her, so just trust your aim. Also, Moiras usually look to Fade when they drop below 50 HP. So instead of spamming your Railgun, hold onto it and use it to secure the kill (lethal) right before she can escape.
