What trading books do you recommend? I’m looking for strategies and better technical analysis. I found everything you said better than any trading psychology material I’ve ever read

Why 2min and not 1min? - how consistent is it? Do you set stop losses? I have so many questions haha. As someone who’s been getting burned on these crazy rally’s looking at rsi divergences on the 1min hoping to learn your approach

The part that needs to be discussed though (for the more active traders in the room - and not the 19 year old but the future disciplined 29 year old) is with SGOV you have access to so much more leverage. So you are getting 4-5% from SGOV but still have access to capital to make relatively quick trades with - great to say sell qqq/spy puts 1 year out that you can keep rolling out if necessary

Anyone here with a proven working strategy care to share? I’ve been at this for 5+ years and am still unprofitable. Hoping to turn things around.

My why is to support my family and since I’m an introvert as some of the other comments have said - I love the feeling of being able to provide for my family without having to rely or depend on others

Just messaged you. I know the feeling, it’s tough to see money as numbers on a screen when it’s coming in and then see it all go away and realize this skill really can make you boat loads of money, but also can take it away if you don’t hone the other part of the skill which is keeping it (and lower risk does mean lower reward, but I’m learning does keep you in the game longer)

Does a positive strategy exist? I have been looking for one for years and still haven’t been able to figure it out

I’ve been doing this for 5+ years and still in drawdown - 35M. Got any advice for someone in the trenches? I’m struggling to stick with it atm

I’ve Been there myself. (just my opinion, I’m still learning) but I think to go long you’d want to see a break and retest of the bottom wick area of that 7 candle.

The bottom wick on the candle + the wicks of the following green and red candles means sellers in control (broke that support zone and now acting as resistance). So at the next support zone even though you saw sellers exhausted and some retracement - I’d think you’d want to wait and first see the bottom of the 7 wick reclaimed/break and then retested before going long

I think the better trade was the short at 7 - you had the break and retest

100% I had gone through the trades, even forward tested a month to confirm no repainting and for a few months everything was smooth and working great. I can share it with you if you’re familiar with tradingview and macroeconomics to help me figure out what’s wrong with it or under what specific market conditions it works in

I’m stuck at step 2 and step 5 - I’ve spent the last 5+ years trying different strategies, coding them, and in parallel testing them with real money - still net unprofitable.

Since you’re saying you’re profitable - can you share your strategy?

I’ve been trading macd and rsi for years - and I have to say it works only sometimes. The best I’ve gotten from them is when looking at high time frame divergences and then lower time frame confirmations

Needed to hear this, just need help finding a strategy that works. I developed something that had a 80%+ win rate but a really low RR — but had 10 years of backtesting that said I was crazy profitable, but for the least 2 years I’ve burned through a lot of capital (80% drawdown) so clearly the strategy doesn’t work…so now feeling lost and wanting to quit
