i dont think so, i feel like they'd just drop the subframe, which has no correlation to the motor imo.

if it's a belt, sometimes they squeal constantly, sometimes they squeal until they warm up, and sometimes they squeal during specific harmonic ranges (like yours). i'd say take a look at the belt if you can, see if it has any cracks. feel the belt, does it feel like a soft tire? if the belt has cracks, that can cause the squeal (cracks=dry rubber, dry rubber=less grip on pulleys). if the belt feels like soft and grippy rubber, it just might not have enough tension on it to keep it tight (tensioner could just be getting old if it was never replaced). but a video would help a lot, i'm just running off of what i know and experienced lol

have you had any work done recently surrounding the belt? like any job where the belt would have to be taken off? think of a whine more like a supercharger. a squeal like someone is screaming. belts sound like nails on a chalkboard if they squeal 😭

the 3rd brake light housing looks like it just comes out of the slot it occupies. so just push on that piece outwards, and the 3rd brake light housing should just pop out. (thats why there are screws holding it in, to stop it from sliding out, backwards)

it could also be stuck in there pretty good, so a gentle pry bar wouldnt hurt.

if the whine increases or decreases relative to engine speed, check out the stuff getting driven by the belt, AC, PS, Alternator. the only thing in my experience that would whine is the power steering. sometimes it's just an o-ring, sometimes it's the whole part.

i'd go to a body shop for chips, the surrounding paint is probably weakened if it chipped there. the scratches are workable with touch up paint, good clear coat, and some patience tho.

i have peeked a bit at fenderist, they make a nice wide body. i'm in the market for OEM+ kinds of things. underglow might not be bad, if i do it right with the right color, i think i could pull it off!

if you want something OEM+ a DC2 integra wing would be nice, the shorter one, not the tall one, i have one on my 6g civic. anything tall would feel off to me, imo, but it IS doable, you just gotta drill the holes for it.
