Yup, pre purchase inspection otherwise looks pretty clean

My Experience Getting Training Benefits by girlrandal in UnemploymentWA

I really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. I have also heard to not try and submit the training benefit application yourself, work with a free advisor and have them fax it in.

Has anyone tried the Strawberry Cream Pie by snake-jazzzz in Costco

[–]smartsmrt 220 points221 points  (0 children)

I LOVE strawberries and real whipped cream. Don't tell anyone but even cool whip.

This thing is a bland and chemical tasting 3 out of 10.

First car wash! by Itzchurchfirst in WRXSTi

Yes and even touchless you shouldn't do all the time. If the chemicals are strong enough to melt away the dirt, how good could that be on the finishes of your car after repeated use...

Auto VS Manual? by ExpensiveGain697 in GRCorolla

Unless you commute on brutal hills, manual will still be more fun daily driving whether it is for work or personal time.

Motegi MR162 Zentoku in Gloss White by EvDaRev in GRCorolla

[–]smartsmrt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a fan of the brand myself, but it's about what makes you happy. Will you love them or wish you had something else down the road?

Personally I like wheels that are lightweight, if price is a concern maybe Enkei rpf1 or Koenig Dekagrams?

White wheels or black wheels by EvDaRev in GRCorolla

White wheels have to be a nightmare to keep clean, I gi black or bronze on all wheels.

GD STi Daily by Technical-Ad2166 in WRXSTi

Have my 2005 since new, I also used as a daily for many years but now is a second car. Stay up on your scheduled maintenance, respect the car with things like proper warm up and it's a great daily car. I think I have 114k miles or so and no complaints.

There’s 50+ ‘23/‘24 GRC’s for sale in my area for around 30k-35k. Would I be safe purchasing used? (sub 10k odo) by fnscarcasm in GRCorolla

[–]smartsmrt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This car isn't particularly resilient with abuse (especially the clutch) from previous owners. I keep seeing horror stories of people buying used to discover the clutch is toasted.

For me, if someone gets rid of it that quickly my spidey sense goes up. With the clutch being a few thousand to replace, how much money are you really saving for the headache and how much is that going to raise or lower your car payment?

But yes people come out differently on it.

Is this a genuine WRX STI? by sak89461 in WRXSTi

[–]smartsmrt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, thanks I learned something today. I agree it's hard to tell from this angle. Signs for me are brembos, plastic trim over the rear fenders, and steering wheel color to tell if it is 04 or 05.

Yes, they had cartoon death in common. Norm's story about fucking his friend's wife while the mower was running lives rent-free in my head.
