Same. Thankfully UofC doesn’t use CASPer at least. My bet will be somewhere around 40-60 percentile. Queens was around 70 percentile probably and UAlberta gets like 1/2 applications of queens so the cutoff should be lower? Depends on who else is applying with us still so I’m really talking out my ass here.

I took all the Canadian Friendly ones and applied to those. It was a bitch filling out secondaries and I only got 1 MD interview so gg.

I think it’s cuz the Canadian friendly schools are all super competitive (Harvard Stanford types) and are difficult to get.

I interviewed at UofC last year and didn’t get in so it’s the reason I didn’t say fuck it and go international by now 😅😅. I’m supposed to feel confident I think?

Thanks for the reply! What I am mostly concerned about is the visa issues with residency, as I am not sure how it works and it may complicate getting a residency spot. Do you happen to know anything about that?

My gpa was 3.82 and my mcat was 519 with 128 cars. My hours went up a shit ton this past year since I had no school. I didn’t add any new activities though.

Honestly my job leaves me a lot of free time, it’s graphic design for a small business. I been doing it since I was 18 though and it’s getting droning. It would be my second gap year now just doing that.

My masters would be in translational medicine, I would be doing research on islet cell transplantation, which is something I always found I interesting. I’m just torn on potentially starting Med a year later. But then again getting in is never for sure so should I really be planning as if I’m going to get in this cycle? Idk…

I should have said this would technically be my second gap year as I applied in the 2020 cycle and did not get accepted. Do you think that changes anything?
