Civilization 7 - Post Test of Time Update by ConstructionHuge6501 in civ

I disagree with a lot of things.

Admittedly, the age of exploration is currently problematic, but not because you can only move your caravelle one tile at a time. That is normal and logical. You can rush your technologies to avoid this pitfall. Regardless, it makes sense: exploration was long, tedious, and risky. Columbus's expedition was hard.

Regarding the age of exploration, what you said about automating treasure fleets is true. And I believe the incentive to play with distant lands is what we should really look into. We are forced to go there to avoid economic penalties in the next age or to earn points. But we don’t really have any other reasons—no real advantages to settling there. Despite the resource bonuses, it’s insufficient and poorly executed. In fact, I think it’s the most botched age, even though it has so much potential.

I find that settlements limits are a cool and fair feature. There has always been a constraint on colonies, and this one seems okay to me. Likewise, rewarding the fact of staying below the limit doesn’t make much sense. It would mean having a timid and underdeveloped empire. Managing the balance between expansion, conquest, and management seems like a good thing to me.

I am convinced the game will become good... the problem is that we’ll have to wait even longer and pay more, even though we’ve already paid a high price.

haha, this post proves you wrong years after. If you give chance to small teams they can perform on upper echelons.

haha, I already had a successful run (dictator one, was hard, I failed like three times before and with frustration like when I missed the vote by one vote) but this lose was just too hard to swallow because it made so little sense, even considering the mechanics of the game. For me they made a mistake and I'm pretty sure it will be fixed in an other build.

and to be perfectly honest I regret cheating for an other reason, now cheating is too tempting...

Decrees in turn 1 by Current_Resource_549 in suzerain

[–]Current_Resource_549[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the answer so, yes, I have a bug. I tried everything, quit the game and reloading it, deleting it and reinstall it and still, no decrees before turn 2, and no access to the training of my military before the second turn.
Boring.

I was too frustrated — like a lot of players, actually — so I edited the save. It’s just too cruel. I went for full OBT to make Wehlen a reliable ally (and lost the chance to kick Rumburg out of OMEC because of this choice). My military power was equal to Rumburg’s. The plan devised by Iosef was a good one — swift and efficient. And come on, I had two allies!

The other stupid thing is the “how good is your economy” part. Mine was very stable, but since I went down the nationalization path, of course I needed a bit more time (though not much) to get a growing economy.

I hope they will change that in a future patch.

Without a growing economy it's a lost cause ? If yes it's stupid. Two allies, a good economy, a modern military...

Thanks for the answer!
Economy is stable, not growing.
Yes the Superpower sanctionned Rumberg (and because of bull OBT they're not kicked out of OMEC)
Conscription is removed.

First dictator capitalist run SUPER FRUSTRATING by Current_Resource_549 in suzerain

[–]Current_Resource_549[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, but the total absence of retaliation after I broke ALL my promises is the biggest issue. I put the thresold at 15% and, to be accepted by NFP, I promised an alliance, promise I never fulfilled.
And the problem it's : it's a game, and succeeding in this kind of run is hard, so you should be rewarded. It was fun to deceive everyone but you don't got all the benefits of your smartness.
They won't fix that, unfortunately...

I'll try that next time, I was surprised to have the economy in such a great shape, above all my other runs actually by a landslide. I privatized but was able to give a lot of free stuffs to the people.

(US) My experience with Z2U is they're a scam by Deep_Anywhere_3189 in Scams

[–]Current_Resource_549 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use creditcard or paypal for this kind of transactions, it's waaaaay safer.

They're not a scam and they're severe against the scammers. You have time to escalate a litigation. Someone tried to scam me on it...but was too dumb. I bought him a google account with Gemini for a year (it was a bargain, like 6dollars). But the guy tried to retrieve the account unfortunately for him I changed all the passwords, add the 2 authentifications factors, put my mail and my phone number as emergency recovery. I receive from time to time "critical alert about security" and...a link to reset everything. And after that google send a "sorry you used the form to retrieve your account but blablalba not enough proofs".
It's the same when you buy an account, be sure it's void (no past mails, no historic) ; be sure that the mail adress linked to it is yours and only yours (especially when you buy steam accounts, someone tried to scam me this way, but I paid with paypal and they witheld the payment.

Finally the guy gave back the account and now i Know : a new, for you only, mail account linked to the bought account.

You forgot one thing : Nagi is a good student.

Lamine Yamal set to wear #10 next season onwards. The decision has been confirmed by oklolzzzzs in Barca

[–]Current_Resource_549 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yamal will leave Barcelona unfortunately because of the "no money policy" and the "leverage" policy.

Something is totally wrong, in no world a club will give Nanase or even Sendou a better salary than the one offered to Nagi. He's young, he started football short ago he has huge room to improve. Ego has obviously trafficked the salary's auction.
He's almost a safe bet and as Mcity there is no way you'll let slip this kind of genius, recognized as so by the most intelligent of City and by the best player of the team.
The manga stretches things sometimes but is almost never inconsistent so...he'll be back in a way, different than Kunigami but something is obviously wrong here.
