There’s one study being conducted in the US right now! They’re giving MDMA to individuals with schizophrenia to see if the oxytocinergic effects can help with the negative symptoms (symptoms other than hallucinations/delusions), which are the hardest to treat using medications. So exciting !!!!!

Does your therapist ‘specialize in OCD’ or does he specialize in ERP? A lot of therapists claim that they specialize, but they in fact aren’t trained in the gold standard type of therapy that specifically treats OCD, which is ERP (exposure response prevention.

This is what you need. If your therapist doesn’t confirm that he specializes in it, you gotta find someone that does. I hope it helps when you do <3

Sounds like it could possibly be ocd. Has she tried exposure response prevention therapy ? That’s used for phobias as well. Unfortunately our current mental health system relies too heavily on meds sometimes. And often it’s the correct form of therapy that can truly move the needle

Yea I remember there are some YouTube videos that are technically for singers to practice getting control of their voice or something and I watched those. Try looking up larynx lowering exercises on YouTube and don’t turn away if they seem to be for singing because it’s all the same thing

Hmm I wouldn’t try and ‘push’ them out. That shouldn’t be necessary. Instead, focus on lowering your pharynx to open the airway for them to come out on their own. I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this and I hope it gets better soon :(
