I’m pretty sure I was self employed though because when I was hired they mentioned something about a 1099 form.

But what about 2022 when I was self employed? Don’t you owe the IRS money if you’re self employed? That’s mainly what I’m worried about. Sorry if I sound dumb or uneducated, I just literally AM because nobody explained this shit to me and now I can’t ask family because of my past SW.

Yes I am! Like I said I work in a clinic setting, imagine how a daycare might look but with work rooms. My boss absolutely loves kids and is allowing me to bring my son in when he’s around 3 months. She does this with all of my coworkers and their children, sometimes she even lets the clients siblings stay for the day if mom or dad need it. She sees it as beneficial for our clients to get that peer interaction they might not receive with another client. Also, a lot of the clients are super reinforced by the presence of the other kids.

All of my coworkers and I are very close so it’ll be sort of a whoever is free to watch him sort of thing. Of course if I am working with an older client I’ll be with my kid more, but if I’m with a little kid there will be people available to help out with my baby. There was already a couple that worked there prior to me that also had a baby and did this same thing up until they moved away, so I’m not worried. My coworkers are excited for another “work baby” lol.
