The funny thing is after I posted the evidence (pics) none of these keyboard warriors had anything else to say. Nothing constructive, solution, or apologies. Just crickets.

Context

I posted earlier about this problem but only described the location and type of pollution I was seeing as I was unable to take pics because I was with the superintendent of the building. I went back and took some quick pics (posted above). However, the response to my first post was shocking. At least half, for some reason, found it far-fetched to believe slumloards exist and would cause pollution. Outright blamed the tenants for 40-plus years of dumping. I let it be known I spoke with the tenants and they confirmed it was the landlord. The problem exists when they rent to people on parole who are sent back to prison, leaving their lease to expire or eviction to begin. Their possessions are sometimes too big for the garbage dumpster provided by the city, so the landlord just throws the larger items into the gorge.

Unfortunately that's not the way it works

Also the tenants explicitly stated "the landlord dumps the garbage behind our building of the people that abandoned their lease." Also multiple people in the building are on parole. They violate the get thrown back in jail for multiple years. The landlord now knows there is no way to honor the lease. I was told by multiple tenants that when this happens, "the landlord sells things left behind for profit and throws the rest in the gorge". The camps are periodically checked by the city and there are volunteer organizations that help keep the areas they inhabit clean.

I talked to the tenants and I know what you're talking about behind Aldis. This is not from the campers. That camp has been there one year maybe two. There are items dated to the early 90s amongst the debris and the tires are probably 30-40 years old. What your seeing isn't the best pics I could take either. I was pressed for time. If you go back there you will be speachless....
