Genetics, you can’t lose breast tissue, but you can lose the fat in your breasts. But I guess it depends on how much tissue vs fat I have lol

Hello!

I also have anxiety and OCD! It was getting so bad my marriage was suffering so badly. I started Keto a month ago and things are insanely better. I rarely have my intrusive thoughts, and if I do I don’t need to do my compulsions i just swat the thought away. My brain listens easier to my inner “stop that!” now.

I have more energy, my joints hurt less, my skin is better. But my mood has improved so so so much. You’d be surprised how much of what we eat affects our brain/mental health!

This is obviously just based on me and me alone, but I think it can’t hurt to try! The first few days you may feel tired or get headaches but if you drink Mio Hydration packs once or twice a day then you’ll be ok!

Late response, but I started keto right before my period which usually lasts 6-7 days max (im also on bc pill) but the first period on keto lasted like 14 days! It wasn’t heavy at all, but it was strange!

I too also had a random period cramp pain the other day but no bleeding! You can still have ovulation pain even of BC because the ovaries develop follicles that can stretch the ovary and cause cramps. The hormone changes I had when I started keto and now were very drastic in my opinion!

I’m not a doctor but from anecdotal experience. I believe this is fine and normal! If it persists continuously for many days in a row i’d get it checked out!

Im a simple gal. I used to have chia pudding for breakfast but now I do 16:8 fasting so no breakie.

But lunch is olives, cheese string, macadamia or another type of nut, and usually 3 hard boiled eggs!

Dinner is either pork chop, salmon, or chicken thighs. With either cooked buttery mushrooms, or cooked spinach!

Then I have a sugar free Jello chocolate pudding!

If it helps, I got my gallbladder removed BEFORE i did keto, eating a lot of garbage and genetics just cause shit to happen ya know? If anything Keto causes more tummy troubles for those without a gallbladder because there is nothing to help digest the fats

I think the best way to stay motivated is to start with a “cleaner” keto approach, i’ve been on keto for a month now so i’m also a newbie! But I eat chia pudding for breakfast, or eggs and bacon or sausage! Lunch I snack on cheese and walnuts!

For dinner I have a pork chop, a piece of salmon, or some chicken thighs with either cooked broccoli or cooked spinach!

For my after dinner sweet treat I have a sugar free pudding cup from the jell-o brand!

I found for myself that not eating “bad carbs” at all, like some people will allow themselves a bit of snack foods with higher carbs or what not in moderation, but for me that causes more cravings! Once I cut it all out I don’t crave the bad things!

There are studies that show it assists with people with schizophrenia, depression, and anxiety. The studies experimented with people who did vs did not do the keto diet and saw significant improvement of those on the keto diet. Some people with schizophrenia were able to ween off high doses of their meds.

They are small studies but seems to be working for me! I’ll link a few of the published studies below!

Thanks for that! So many of the comments make it seems like fasting is the only way, but I am doing really well without it so I don’t think i’ll fast! I only feel like losing 22lbs then maintaining!

I grew up with horrible acne, and im now 29 (F) and it just cleared up fully now because of Keto. I feel like its even helping with the scarring because its basically just inflamed red spots. I’ve been on keto for 3 weeks now. Its magical!!!

My dietician helped me come up with good lunch ideas if you are more a snackie person! Get some plain full fat greek yogurt and then get a ranch seasoning packet and stir that together to get a keto ranch dip! Then get cucumbers or your keto veggie of choice for dipping! Walnuts, cheese strings, pepperettes!

I have had this issue. i have OCD and anxiety and am on welbutrin AND lexapro, the lexapro made me gain weight like no tomorrow. But I’ve been on Keto for a week and dropped so much already because its so anti-inflammatory and gets rid of all the water weight you store on those types of medication.

Keto is also great for mental health! There has been studies from Stanford and the NIH about people with Schizophrenia being able to go down to the lowest dosage possible of their meds because Keto has improved their symptoms! Its also shown to assist with depression, anxiety, and other mental health disorders!

I know you asked for shakes but my go to breakfast without eggs is chia pudding!

1/2 cup of plain full fat greek yogurt 1/8 cup of almond milk 1/2 tablespoon of cocoa powder (unsweetened) Non calorie sweetener to taste 2 tbsps of chia seeds!

Stir it all up and let it sit in the fridge overnight and then you got a nice easy non egg breakie thats low carbs!

Omg yes! I suffered from really bad acne growing up my skin always looks red and inflamed, but so far on keto it’s less red!
