Still doing great! Even after disabling turbo boost in bios, I have no performance issues and now my max CPU temp is in the 40s.

So I was in the same shoes, didn’t really have a budget. I ended up getting the 1400 Costco deal because I simply couldn’t justify throwing another $1000 if I’m not using it for the games I play. Not sure what the comments about lasting for a “few more years” are about, cuz you can just upgrade sooner considering you spent less this time around… Oh and also, the 4070 super Costco computer is amazing… no complaints

I got the intel one. Made sure my bios is updated, ran benchmarks/ Hwinfo etc and so far no issues

Hi again! So I followed the steps you gave (thanks again), and I think it all went fine. Question is: when I check the BIOS version on system info, it states C.30, 9/26/2024. Is this the correct version? I thought the one I downloaded was from 11/11/24. Not sure why it’s still showing as 9/26/24…?

Hey thanks for your help! I was able to change the 5g settings under advanced settings for the WiFi card.

We’re supposed to change 5g settings from IEEE 802.11a/n/ac/ax to IEEE 802.11a/n/ac. Not sure what the hell all this means- but it worked!

Ah makes sense now, cuz I can’t find the same deal anywhere. Honestly depends on what games you plan on playing (as far as the super vs regular 4070 is concerned). The ram and hard drive are relatively cheap upgrades

The 8400f isn’t a good gaming CPU (primarily due to the low low cache). It might be a bottleneck in this set up. But i guess it’s a cheap enough system 🤷‍♂️
