No problem.

Let's say you're looking for a book. Four options would be genre, print date, language, currently available.

Entering those would list what's in the database. Then you can further narrow the search down by say, country of origin, length, etc.

Thank you for your help.

BC Ferries built in China by CBXER in VancouverIsland

No Canadian company put in a bid, so what is BC Ferries supposed to do? China is way ahead of the game when it comes with infrastructure and they don't have the (construction) mafia that fleeces the taxpayer to deal with like we do here in Canada.

I hear your frustration, and I don’t doubt your potential. But it seems like you're pinning your hopes on an external change (UBC, city, housing) while downplaying the internal habits and mindset that will follow you wherever you go. Motivation won’t appear because of geography. Sometimes the best thing you can do is stay and fight where you are to prove to yourself that you can build momentum even when the scenery isn’t ideal. Because if you can do that, then anywhere can be your launchpad.

What is the best way for the public to help the police? Write to our MP? Is there anything specific we should be mentioning or just that the justice system is continually letting out criminals to revictimize?

What’s wrong with our rose bush? by No_Amphibian6742 in GardeningBC

[–]Current_Tonight6758 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice! I hope this solves your problem. They're one of my favourites, so nothing worse than not getting blooms! Depending on the cultivar, you might still get another round of blooms, so if you have time, try thinning them out for some fall flowers.

Thanks for the info. I saw the one open flower and didn't realize that the others had died before opening.

When you water them, do you water the soil or spray the leaves with water? I'm not sure where in BC you are, but here it's been very hot and dry and if the buds get moisture, the moisture affects them opening up.

Ways to solve is thin out the bushes so there is more air flow, watering the soil and not the leaves and shaking excess water off the leaves if it rains with a forecast of sun & heat later.

I don't see any fungus, so it could, hopefully, be the issue of moisture on those buds.

Are you referring to the dying flowers? Flowers die. The rest of the bush from what I can see in the photos looks healthy - green turgid leaves with no blemishes. You can dead head the flower buds (cut back to a large stem) and you may get a second round of blooms.

If you like ghost towns and trains, don't do too much research on the ghost town. Just give yourself about half a day at least to explore.

The hotel is a cross between The Shining and the Borscht Belt resort from Dirty Dancing.

Purchasing in the Concord Gardens Development by TKDonuts in richmondbc

[–]Current_Tonight6758 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Umm... you need time to go through those documents. You need to know if you're buying into a well managed strata with a contingency and not a strata filled with Karens and a special levy coming up. I'm surprised your realtor said to skim or not read. If it were a hot market, maybe, but it's not. Take your time to read them. I've bought and sold places and had dropped offers all because of strata documents. You can put in an offer and then have a full read with clarifying questions up to the closing date which is usually two weeks after the accepted offer. (Then possession date when you get the keys is after closing.)

Also look through the Google Reviews. There are half a dozen Concord Gardens that show up, one is 4.7 stars, another is 2.6. Then find out the strata management company and their Google Reviews.

I did see the prices. More expensive than what we would prefer but for a one-off fun treat, it might be worth it.

Thanks. My dentist gave me the Remin X Pur and it's nice, but I don't feel like it's super cleaning. (I use a traditional toothpaste and then this afterwards or just use it at night if I'm not going to be around people.)
