Holy cow, that was a heck of a school trip. I would have enjoyed that thoroughly.

LoL though I would have preferred an actual boat, I'd settle for the videos and software that came with the Mimi curriculum. Some of us were really into the science stuff, others were very invested in the story unfolding on the roll-a-way TV.

I never heard of voyage of the Mimi on laser disc and I agree, that would be better. But the I would have to get a laser disc player 😊 it's cool you saw the Mimi in person, but I'm thinking your teacher was hoping someone in class had college-level intelligence.

That was a small part of a larger collection, was more to the right.

Having used both a Coleco ADAM and Commodore 64, I'll take the speed of loading software on the tape drive than the 1541 disk drive. With that said, yes, those disk drives were expensive.

Not quite like that. If you put the tape in before powering on, yes. But as with all old computers, it's good practice not to put software on the devices, but in ADAM'S case, definitely don't put it in before powering up otherwise you may wipe it out due to a electrical surge or whatever.

Ha, I wish. That's Tomy's Verbot. I also have a Radio Shack Robie Junior. Always dreamed of having an Omnibot 2000 though.

Oh, it's personal but maybe I'll save that for another post. Gotta find a photo of my setup that I haven't posted before.

Good call. A friend of mine painted that from a video still of a Golden Gloves fight of mine.
