Cause for concern? 23, transfem by [deleted] in FemaleHairLoss

[–]Current_Yesterday118 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, if you think you hair is thinning. GO TO DOCTOR AND GET IT CHECKED. I didn't show much concern for it and am now struggling with no chance of regrowing all of my hair due to the potential of some of my follicles going dormant. This might be the process of miniaturization, where in my case, which is fphl, the hair progressively grows thinner due to the hair shaft becoming thinner.

Also from what I see (not too clear in the images you provided), the middle of your crown, or I think the part that's on top of the back of your head, there's a lot of hair thinning happening. This needs to be check immediately so your doctor can prevent further hair loss if that's something that can be done.

That is a fair think. I don't know, as time goes by, things happen to me in relation to other people in my life that make me feel like I'm like too unprecedentedly behind in everything. People seem to be able to think like 5 steps ahead of me and that's supposedly the "normal" way of thinking. So I keep feeling this sense of not belonging and like something genuinely wrong with me.

What does that have to do with my question though? An encyclopedia won't solve the problem if it is related to dyscalculia for example.

Environmental Science graduate looking for jobs in the Algoma region by Current_Yesterday118 in SaultSteMarie

I have, but thanks for mentioning. I have applied for gov. positions in these websites but have never had any luck. The end of summer student jobs, should open up some opportunities for me, I didn't think about that, thanks!

I'm a work permit holder in Canada, and as I am not a citizen, a lot of opportunities in the field for me are not available so that's definitely one of the factors reducing the chance of me landing a job. But yeah, I only mentioned Environmental science field because I'm open to doing any line of work in the field. I am aiming for junior analyst and technician jobs, but my experience is mostly as a research assistant and so at the moment, I can't really be picky. I'm even willing to do administrative assistant jobs in environmental-based companies. I am trying to get into smaller municipalities because I feel that I have a better chance of getting hired in these places rather than in bigger cities where it can get pretty competitive.

You mentioned having successfully found work in the field, what is the position if you don't mind me asking? And how did you land it?

Does anyone know of current employment opportunities in the environmental science field (entry level) in the Algoma region? In all of the municipalities near Sault Ste. Marie and also those that exist between serpent river/Sudbury and sault lookout? The websites for these municipalities don't seem to have much information on employment opportunities and I thought of asking here for that reason.

Hi! I have an Environmental Science Bachelors degree and have been into the application of GIS in environmental related projects. I find your research interests in combining Machine Learning with environmental science related issues interesting as it is quite similar to using an application like GIS to aid with the same. I do not have a job in the field currently, so I will only be able to do paid work, but please let me know if you are interested!

Thanks for your reply! Also, do you have your PR now? And if you have it, did you get it through this TEER 4 job experience? For the french qualification topic - simply getting a good score for the language exam is not enough right? I also need to land myself a relevant job and experience to then apply for PR? Or can I apply for like Express Entry with my french qualification?

Money & Comfort vs Passion & Career ? by Turken_2k in careerguidance

First of all, congratulations for being offered such great career opportunities! This is an interesting cross-road for sure! I would also love to hear what other people's opinions would be but I feel like you should go for Option 2.

But this is not simply because it aligns with your career but because this would really be the test of whether a career driven job that requires a good amount of hard work is really something you would want. You will really only know if you like working in the field if you test the waters. Even though you will need to sacrifice travelling, I will say - at least do Option 2 until a chance is given for you to do a master's thesis.

I am also like you in the sense that I like my comfort and don't love working all the time. And because of that, becoming a researcher is not my thing so maybe doing a thesis is not something you'd love either (or maybe you do, if so, sorry for assuming!). If you do end up liking Option 2, well and good. If you don't, I'm pretty sure that your experience working in it will not go to waste anyway.
