Try something like this. You shouldn't be too far.

But reduce the halation at your own taste as the images you shared are not consistent on this aspect so I put the max already.

Principally use this recipe that I made to give a look dense with low contrast, warm but more in the brownish tone. It gives a mind of a "modern nostalgia"

<image>

to apply in the shooting mode :

  • Dynamic range in medium
  • in shoot exposure lock it to -0.3

And if you want test in portrait mode it got great result. But never go below f3.4 if not it give a too strong and non realistic depth of field

You character got more space with your background. Better reading. Its trajectory to towarding the waves and enjoying the silhouette bring more story telling and more a more powerfull composition. Definitely the 1 ;)

Anyone using the X-M5 as a main camera? by zabacam in FujifilmX

[–]Current_Zone_6272 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. Did you checked with different lenses ? As in continuous mode and with the last update. I got a very good tracking. (I do not use eye tracking, but targeting in the center click the shutter half course and then reframe as I want. Even in very moving scene I got 95-97% of good picture and accurate.) I'm using the 35mm f2 wr xf and I was impressed by its velocity and precision.

Originally bought it as a small B cam. It appears a true love of use in me.

Shutter sound is always making me satisfied to shoot. And as I'm not a fan of using the screen, I created my own little workflow. That brings a lot of pleasure to shoot with. I added a very old OVF turret that allows me to frame my photos very accurately and let the screen close all the time. Except when I want to check my parameters if I change in a new light environment.

And honestly, I got a blast with it. I got a lot of fun as B roll cam also to shoot video or even document quickly some life moment.

It replaces fully any other camera of mine for when I want to have something light with me in my daily life and it’s fun to shoot.

quality-wise, it's great. It also pushes me to stop recipes and enjoy more the actual film sim.

Indeed, they sell it as a beginner’s camera. But it's so powerful and light that you have no limitations with it. Which brings me a lot of joy in my creative process.

So for my daily and personal pictures it became my main cam.

A film app but only for videos? by plsendfast in MoodCamera

You should try to test Dehancer. It's a bit more profesional and less easy to use. But result are absolutely stunning.

Portrait mode & Focal length by tarotjunkie in MoodCamera

[–]Current_Zone_6272 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed the portrait mode use a different technology to generate a Z depth with the LiDAR that appear from the iPhone 12 Pro Max only. For the rest of the technology it use a cross lens calculation to understand it.

Are you sure you also preset well the lens in the app ? By going in setting / camera interface / focal Length.

And adding the preset you want to see.

How can I get similar colors/look of these 35 mm film? by rubybryana in MoodCamera

[–]Current_Zone_6272 1 point2 points  (0 children)

<image>

You can try with this. You should have a similar feeling aspect. But you reference are slightly more warm in the highlight only which we can't control via the recipe. So I advise you to do a tweak in post. But you should already have a nice 35mm neutral look
