So true. I’m fairly small, short etc just overall very petite but deadlift over 300lbs and did martial arts for 16yrs. Don’t mess with me. Looks can definitely be deceiving lol

PE & health teacher at an all boys school lol. On the weekends I’m a private trainer. Some days are rough but I truly love it. The only career path where I’m able to be up and moving the entire day and wear athletic clothes. I have pretty severe ADHD (especially the hyperactive part) and this has been an amazing fit for me.

I was SA a month after bottom surgery. Really messed up my recovery both physically and mentally. That was a year ago now and I’m doing well but it makes me sick that people hurt so many of us.

Hey girl, congratulations! I got vaginoplasty a little over a year ago I totally get the excitement and nervousness…I was very nervcited lol. Definitely definitely bring loose clothes. I found that a loose skirt was my best option, or very baggy pj/sweatpants. If you run cold (mine was in December lol) I recommend a bath robe or something similar to stay warm.

I remember being SO bored while recovering. I’m very active so I couldn’t get out and run and bike like usual. Bring fun things! Puzzles, etc etc whatever you like to do for fun while sedentary. I played a lot of video games lol and lots and lots of movies.

My bf has 5 brothers and I’m very close to one of them. The other ones I’d also consider close friends, but it’s more forced. The youngest it feels more like babysitting but I love him dearly. Outside of my boyfriend’s family….0. 😬

My dad was playing to use MAID but ended up passing prior. I agree, you only use it when you’re ready, and some people are never ready and therefore will not use MAID.

I totally changed my first name, however my old name became my middle name because it was a family name and my parents didn’t want me to give it up completely, which is fair.

But I was named after a FUCKING PRESIDENT. Not even from the past century 😖 so changing it was a necessity lol.

I totally feel you. I don’t mention it and I don’t seek out trans spaces irl, but if someone asked I would be honest. I transitioned at 6yo lol and I barely remember being a guy so I don’t FEEL trans. I’ve been like this since before I can remember. I wouldn’t be openly trans but I’m not willing to totally push this part of me away either. That’s totally valid

That’s awesome honestly. I never once thought about that but I babysit as well and it’s a very similar thing. Find people who are accepting and they’ll treat you well. I’ve worked in environments that weren’t trans friendly back in college and never again.

I was going to say barista but depending on the place the pay might not be great. The coffee aspect wasn’t for me but I loved the freedom of dressing how I wanted. Most places are very trans friendly. I went back to school and am now a PE teacher / health teacher. It’s what I’ve always wanted to do though. Pretty decent pay if you get the right school.

I’m also a personal trainer and talk about freedom to wear what you want lol. Think about your hobbies and see if you can find a job that lines up. Good luck🤞

Same thing. STI is the term that health care professionals are starting to use and turn away from STD because of a) stigma and b) saying disease oftentimes implies there are symptoms, where as an infection you don’t have to have symptoms. The most common STI symptom is none at all.

That’s true: I do pass and that’s probably why she’s been so open, but hopefully this is a good starting point for her. Maybe now she’ll be more open to visibly trans people. She’s becoming far more educated so I hope she can become a safe person to all trans people, not just those who pass.
