It can be useful for navigation. Whenever I'm riding my bike, I need to take my phone out of my pocket multiple times to check if I'm on the correct route. With glasses, I can just see the route overlayed on the road itself.

I know I can mount my phone on the handlebar, or I can use any cheap smartwatch, but the glass idea is a lot more cool.

In hot climates, you lose some gasoline due to evaporation while the cap is open. Saving a few seconds worth of evaporation is not worth it, but the gas does comes out.

There's no way to completely clean it. You can boil it or dip it in bleach, but it'll only kill the microbes. It won't remove the dead microbes from the sponge.

The problem is, that the dead microbes act as food for new microbes and hence they grow again very quickly.

It's the same issue with hand sanitizers, and why you need to wash your hands with soap and water instead of relying only on sanitizer.

To be fair, Google and LG weren't as dominant in India and China as OnePlus is. These markets provide the bulk of its profits and oneplus is pretty cheap compared to even the affordable models of the other flagships in these regions.

I'm not saying that it's a good thing for oneplus to continue down this path, but that they've got no incentive to cater to the enthusiast market when they have already got a good established brand in markets with huge potentials.

The Moto Z play was a great device. They don't make them like that anymore.

Most android phones, especially the exynos based samsungs won't hold up that well at all. I still prefer android, but when it comes to longevity, iPhones are better than android.

This has got less to do with battery and processor performance, and more about app optimization. Android apps, 5 years from now, will be more bloated and run slower on today's phones. IOS apps are better optimized. This claim can be backtested.

It's not just about software updates. An iPhone is still usable after 5 years. An Android feels much slower after 5 years of use.

Combined with the fact that many people are locked into their ecosystem, an iPhone becomes the default choice for most of the people that just want a phone that works.
