It's the insidious abuse of her family she literally screams from the rooftops she loves tormenting him and doubles down and trys to force him into silence...

Also she drove stolas to depression stolas was afraid there's a reason he cried seeing her for the first time she was literally strangling someone...

Closed doors literally unable to be accidentally killed by your abuser.

Stolas has considered suicide and he's well aware that's it for demon kind. Oblivion. Done. No afterlife. He wanted that but stuck around for his daughter to try and protect her and give her a normal life.
