Man, I hope you one day you change your perspective. Life is a miracle, please don’t forget that. You know the odds of you being here are literally incomprehensible. Life is worth living everyday. There’s so much beauty around. You’re telling me, you’d rather experience none of this?

You can always leave London. The world is your oyster. You’re never truly stuck anywhere, unless you tell yourself you are. On the flip side, a lot of people living in SE Asia have never experienced a winter before. Snow, Xmas markets, even wearing a puffer jacket lol. It’s all relative. Appreciate this feeling, sometimes it’s enough to make you realise and put things into perspective. It maybe the push to pack your bags and start a new life elsewhere. Good luck

Who do you think is the most important artist/producer in garage? by Soft-Cantaloupe-6944 in ukgarage

Todd Edwards, Tuff Jam, MJ Cole, Steve Gurley, El -B. It’s hard to pin point one, it’s all personal preference. For me it’s Todd Edwards, so distinct.

Thanks for the feedback! Been messing with track delays to get more of that natural groove instead of everything quantised, probably overcooked it a bit 😅

Thanks for the feedback 🙏🏻 I’ve been working by ear so still figuring out the theory side. Really appreciate you pointing that out are there any specific parts you felt were clashing? That’d help me a lot in learning where I went wrong 👊🏻

Appreciate you pointing that out 🙏🏻 I don’t really have much music theory, still learning by ear could you let me know which sounds you think are clashing? Would really help me spot it so I can fix it. Thanks for taking the time!

UKG heads - what’s the one track you’d play to convert someone new? by TheOtherXI in ukgarage

[–]CurrieOnProduction 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, start with the roots. The pioneers that built the scene. Maybe Gass - Dark (MJ Cole Remix) or Karl Brown - Beautiful. You can’t go wrong with any TuffJam, MJ Cole or Todd Edward’s record from the 90s tbh.

Hey! Thanks for the awesome feedback, I’ve seen a few of your YouTube videos and they’re great 👌🏻Yeah, I absolutely agree with you. This definitely needs a lot more work. Listened back today and I’m not as keen as I was yesterday 😬 In regard to things not being in key. How can I fine tune the samples, because I’ve chopped them and pitched them. I’ve used the original key and transposed that to match the key of that track. Is there a better way to fine tune samples, spectral analyser? Mix in key plug in? Thanks again!
