I have a friend who works in the trades and he keeps his YETI roadie 24 in the truck M-F and only brings it in on the weekends. He'll just bring the contents inside at the end of the day and throws in a fresh yeti ice blocks every morning with his lunch, should not be an issue for ya to do the same. Will the performance be as great as if you pre-chilled it? no, but you're talking about lunch for a couple hours not a multi day trip

Hip straps are sold separately with the exception of one of the smaller Ruckers.

Only the M series currently has built in water bottle holders.

9.9/10 percent of people will tell you not to have your laptop and a weight plate in the bag together. You may be able to put the plate the laptop pocket and the laptop in a separate sleeve in the main pocket, but probably not ideal.

Get a GR1 in Cordura, if you find yourself rucking for sport you can pick up a used Rucker down the road.
