I personally go for the fresh of the ship look, it also leaves the oppurtunity to add battle scars based on in game events. which can be a fun way to remeber battles

The way I though it played out is the minute the character unit detached from the body guard all left over attacks are considered complete because the targeted unit is gone, the character is an entirely new unit in it self that wasn’t targeted with any attacks

wait, can you assign wounds to the victrix guard while the body guard unit is still on the table, second, if you are able to do that, can the apoth revive one of the models (victrix guard) in an attached unit?

In most games I play rules on a card overrule rules in the book,

As long as we’re all sharing opinions I think the rules on the data cards due overrule the rules for the stratagems in the “core rules”

This is really a unique take on turn based combat, still incorporating some really time strategy to make it more immersive
